Josh Allen is who made himself into Josh Allen.. but do not tell me for ONE SECOND, that first season did not help Josh Allen be who he is today.. After season 1? it was all glorified BS... all about me me me me.. That 13 second AFC Champ game.. It was just about Diggs. He went out there as a team mate.. he should of WALKED IN as a team mate. all after that game it was just about Diggs.. No one else.. 

 

So what to expect? HE IS going to help that QB be the best he can be the first year.. After that? its going to be all about Steph. The Cancer we know he will become in that organization.  and I cant WAIT till I talk in pods about this.. on this off season.  We will find out what Maye's top end is this year.. The eyes will tell the story.. right now.. who the heck cares after that because after the first year? That contract will not be worth the paper it was written on.

 

2025 is when you will see the best of Diggs. 2026 he will be a..

What sold him was the money!  There probably weren’t many other teams willing to give a 31 year-old WR coming off an ACL that kind of deal

Miller played really well for 11 games until he was hurt.

Not after he tore his ACL.  He was the worst he’s ever been in his career.

Seems like a desperation move for the Pats and not a good one either.

He's 31, and tore an ACL in the middle of last season.  He will need to spend this entire season in rehab until maybe the last few games.  Check out Von Miller's recovery to get a sense of how good Diggs will be this year.  Next year, 32 years old, and probably not allowed to bring his walker out on the field.  

 

Diggs's big sin with the Bills was that he wanted the ball.  All.  The.  Time.  Allen was much more effective throwing to whichever of his (less talented than Diggs) receivers were open.  But Diggs was very professional in how he prepared, and he took great care of his body.  He'll have a good impact in the Pats' WR room and in the locker room, but on the field...?

They had a lot of money to spend and needed to upgrade the WR room. They wanted HIggins, but he never hit FA. They tried to trade for Metcalf but he made it clear that he wouldn't sign there. So they threw money at Diggs. Not really surprising. They had over 120M to spend. They were going to spend it.

That is an insane amount of money for a 31-yr old who has lost a step and is coming off an ACL tear. $26M GTD?? Watching the Pats turn into the Jets right before our eyes is pretty amazing.

Appreciate what Stef did for Josh’s development, but that was a very long time ago, and perhaps Stef is just now beginning to really circle the insanity diva drain

People here mentioned bringing Diggs back for the vet minimum, and most of us said "naaaa". The Pats go and pay him $23M/yr. LOL

 

Can't wait for Diggs to say that Maye is the best QB he's ever played with in an interview this summer and watch the media run with it.
