Just in Atlanta Posted March 26 Posted March 26 He'll be on his best behavior in Year 1. When everything doesn't go his way toward the end of the year, Diva Diggs will show up. Having said that, I wish he weren't such a drama queen and that he were still here. He's a fun player to watch and I hate seeing him with the Pats, with Hollins no less. 1 1 Quote
Gregg Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I say it will be midway through the first quarter of the opening game when he starts screaming at Maye Quote

BuffaloRebound Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Pats are losing their minds. A 31/32 year old WR who tore his ACL 5 months ago and whose game relies on quickness in and out of his cuts is a horrible bet. Oh and he’s a distraction waiting to happen. 2 Quote

Probably a physical to see if he's on track healing but not a full all systems go work out. I don't know what the workout was...and either do you. I would expect an legit NFL franchise was not just do a "half ass" physical and workout and then say "OK, let's pay him" That's dumb and how you lose a job. They did let him leave NE so he didn't sign right away and today for these athletes they can come back pretty quick from an ACL. See Aaron Rodgers and Tua 4 hours ago, Pete said: Not the WR for a young QB to develop. He will undermine Drake Maye Do you realize he was in Houston last year and they loved him there? He is a drama queen that's been documented. But hence the length of his contract and he is not there to "put them over the SB" hump. 1 1 Quote

I suspect its gonna be OBJ type production from him... Quote

Diggs is over 30 coming off a serious injury. As a WR how he cuts and plants his foot when running a route or trying to break a tackle. That will be a lot of wear and tear going through an NFL season. Quote

He’s essentially a slot guy now, I think McDaniels will use him well there but he’s an older, more expensive Jakobi Myers. 1 Quote

Metcalf said the samething.. we shouldn't be surprised by this as fans...they have a small window to be rich, so why wouldn't they go where the money Is at. We would too. 1 minute ago, Gregg said: Still a very risky move by NE. Diggs is over 30 coming off a serious injury. Of course it's a risk, just as it would be for any team signing him..or when you guys had Von Miller, or picking up Aaron Rodgers. The pats have the money to burn, he doesn't work out then it gives them another year to get a wr and show other free agency's they can come to NE. I mean these type of player accusations happen all the time 1 Quote

I don't Bills Chiefs Texans Ravens Division winners^ Playoff contenders Chargers Denver Miami Bengals Steelers I don't think the Pats* are good enough to get past those teams. I expect teams like the Raiders and Jets to be better too. Does TN get Ward and finally win some games? If Trevor Lawrence has a similar resurgence that baker Mayfield did with Liam Cohn they could be in the mix too Quote

HOUSE Posted March 26 Posted March 26 This could mean 8 and 8 For the Pattys. I am sure the City is buzzing now 1 Quote

It's really no biggie for them, though. They have the cap to spend, and it's not much risk, w/ potential for high reward. Even coming off injury, he's the best receiver they've had in many years. And they needed a receiver - there weren't a lot of options out there. For them, this was a pretty sound move. 1 Quote
LarryMadman Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Lol, wore out the welcome in Houston in what, 7 games, lol! He is a cancer and will never win anything, destined to be on bad teams from hear on out as good teams won't want his services, cons outweigh the pros big time. Quote
benderbender Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Diggs isn’t what he used to be, but he’s still better than most. They grossly overpaid him, but if it helps Maye develop like Josh, it will have been worth it. 1 Quote

Metcalf said the samething.. we shouldn't be surprised by this as fans...they have a small window to be rich, so why wouldn't they go where the money Is at. We would too. Diggs and Metcalf are not at all the same thing. Diggs already had the money in Buffalo, he was on a big extension, he was never at any point underpaid here. Bills gave him 2 big deals. He had the usage here, 160 targets, way more than DK. Diggs got disgruntled because he wanted to win a SB...not because he wanted more money. Everything he did here that caused the parting of him and the Bills was because he allegedly wanted to win so bad and had lost faith the Bills would get there before his career ended, especially with us heading in for a mini retool the offseason we traded him due to age and cap decisions. Yet, it was true then, and its still true now...if Diggs really wanted to be in a place that gave him a legit chance to win a SB year after year, he had it all here in Buffalo...money, targets, and legit contention with unquestionably one of the top 2 QB's in the league. So to see him NOW sign for money is fine...but make no mistake about it...he forced his way out of Buffalo over wanting a SB just to now sign on in NE for money over winning. I guarantee had his agent called SF, KC, Balt, Was, Phi, or a number of other more realistic contenders and offered to come cheap for a chance at a ring, at least one of those teams would have said yes. But instead, he decided he needed to get another big deal either for his ego or for his bank account...or probably both. Diggs learned a lesson...the grass isn't always greener. And the irony is he would have made more money staying in Buffalo...and still be competing for SB's, hell if he had bought into to being here and Brady's system this season, we might have gotten there this year too. 1 1 Quote

Good riddance to Diggs, and now it makes beating the Patriots even sweeter instead of a 'meh' type of game, but he WAS a leader the first two-three years with the Bills. Everywhere he goes he eventually sours and pouts, but not at first. 1 Quote
