skibum Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I would never write off a player like Diggs, but this does seem like a lot of money for his age, and for what he has shown on the field lately. If he can play like he did his prime years in Buffalo, it will be a great pickup for NE. But can he still do it? Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted March 26 Posted March 26 How are we going to deal when he does something good? 2 1 Quote

I really hope the fans are gracious and welcoming. Diggs was a PITA at times, but he brought a ton of excitement and he really did help Allen grow into the quarterback that he is today. 3 1 Quote
RyanC883 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 the beauty of this is it should prevent the Pats from obtaining a WR in the draft this year or next. If they draft one, and that person gets targets, the yaps will be incoming all over and a huge distraction for Maye. This is not the same Diggs the Bills signed early in JA's career. Although I guess the Pats* have the money and believe it will accelerate Maye's development, so from that standpoint, it makes sense. Quote

With that much money, it wouldn't take much to talk him into that.  But they really are that, a team on the rise. Maye was one of the best young 1st year quarterbacks I have seen in a while. And huge upside. To me they are the team that may unseat the Dolphins for 2nd place in the East.  Good, as the Bills need a team to push them in the division and overall have not had that in a while.   Edited March 26 by Mister Defense 2 Quote
JoshAllin Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I guess they aren't expecting him to throw fits when things don't go so well on a team that hasn't been good for a while now Quote

But I do agree I think they’ll take second place this year. 1 1 Quote

Success Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I'm not sold on the "team on the rise" rhetoric, or on Maye.   But just because I'm not sold doesn't mean it can't come true. They get Gonzalez & Barmore back, and with Vrabel & the other additions on D, it could be an excellent defense in '25. They have a decent WR corps now, and a good running game. The most glaring weakness is their O-line, which would probably prevent them from making a big leap.  But a leap is something they could make nonetheless. I swear - if they got back to another SB before we made one with Allen, my already thin tether to sanity will fray & disappear.  1 1 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 He looked finished as a difference maker in the second half of his last year with us. But at least he's had over a year to tear to age and get injured. I'm sure he'll be worth every penny. Quote

You do realize they literally worked him out and got his physical before signing him right?? 1 Quote

Buffalo ill Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Hopefully the Buffalo DBs hit him as hard as they hit their own teammates. Quote
BuffaloButt Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Chasing the money! Can't blame him, it is a business! Oh well for him rejoining the Bills to get a ring!  Show me the money ONLY!!! Quote

I gather he had the cleanest of ACL tears— no other damage to the adjacent parts of his knee. He’s looked really good for someone coming off an ACL. I was shocked at how good he was cutting and changing direction. 1 1 Quote
