I was at Rich for all the games in 1973, preseason and regular season.  I was working as a pop vendor in the stands.

Doubtful I'll get to any games this year since I live in Memphis now.

So how did it compare to opening day at the Colosseum?

Fight GIF by Gladiator Movie

Did you know that in the Olympics in ancient Greece the athletes competed naked?  I never missed those.

I was at the last game at the Rockpile and the first game at Rich Stadium.  Have seasons so planning on going to the last game this season and attending the first game at the new one.  Go Bills!

Fist game meaning the preseason game vs Washington where Herb Mulkey ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown?

Yea I was there.

I was in college at the time and I met my parents at the stadium.  After the game, I got out of the parking lot in 15 minutes.  My parents were stuck there for over 2 hours.

The parking lot was a mess that night.

1st one was at Rockpile 67. The only time I was at Rich Stadium was the summer superfest's!!!

You're even worse than me.  I saw 3 or 4 games at the 'Pile and have seen 4 games at the Ralph (two of them preseason games, one of which was a strike game).  I've never seen the Bills win a game live.

My parents went to the first game at Rich Stadium.  I have a coin from the game.  And I have a card, signed by Mother, declaring "I was there, one of 80,000, even though 10x will claim to have been there.  I was 4 years old, and my Father soon after took me to Bills and Sabres games.  Ive been huge Bills and Sabres fan over 50 years!

I was not at the first at the Ralph, but several at the Rockpile. Plan to be at the last at the stadium and first at the new one (unless some incredible offer is out there)

It’s funny, I clearly remember the opening day at the Ralph, but I don’t recall the last game at the Rockpile. I assume I was there, as we had 4 seats by then, but I just don’t remember being there. I guess it was a long time ago and the first time with something is more memorable than the 100th, even if it’s the last.    🤷‍♂️

The last game at the Rockpile was against the Lions and ended up in a tie.  I don’t remember the game at all but I do remember the crowd on the way out was quiet.  A somber feeling overall.

I too went to that first game at "The Stadium in Orchard Park, NY" as the announcers initially referred to it before it got renamed "Rich Stadium". I still have that same coin they passed out. I had earlier gone to a few games at the "Old Rockpile"...

Good question, I hadn't really thought about it.

I was there for the first game ever, I barely had sat down when the Redskin kick returner took it all the way

(I always thought that was a jinx )

I sure would like to be at the last one also, but Championship tickets are hard to get.

I remember listening to it on the radio (we were almost always blacked out for TV coverage of home games in Rochester).  When the game ended, they played "Auld Lang Syne" on the radio and the fans rushed the field and tore down the goalposts.  But these weren't the old fashioned wooden ones, these were metal, and Stan Baron was really worried that someone could get seriously injured.  Given that the game ended in a tie, it may well have been the most exciting part of the afternoon.

I was not at the first, and probably won't make the last, but I think the Bills should have a special recognition for those of you that did and will. That will be a special accomplishment.
