I'm starting to really get annoyed with OBL of late:

 

Steve Tasker, Chris Brown, and Maddy Glab are the biggest butt-lickers I've ever heard. 

 

If you ask them this question: If the Bills have the best offense, score the most points, the most efficient why don't they win the super bowl?

 

They are so biased it's pathetic... They say 1 bad thing about the Bills they're fired

They are employed by the Bills, what do you expect? Would you have the chops to say something particularly bad about your employer over the radio/social media, knowing it may get you canned?

This isnt some secret. They dont pretend to be fair and balanced. They are Bills employees doing a 2 hour show where the main purpose is marketing that team.

 

If that annoys you and you still listen, thats on you.

Every team in the league has this same show. You think OBL is bad? Here is Dave Lapham gushing about a new hire for LB coach like he's a football savant.

I find it interesting to listen to the media like Tasker who toe the company line. It tells me exactly what the team is selling to the public. One can learn a lot by comparing that to their own analysis as well as what is heard from the small portion of national media that is competent and unbiased.

I think part of the problem is that in the past, the Bills portrayed Brown and later Maddie like they are “beat reporters” covering the team.    
 

So when you hear this crew asking softball questions during pressers, you want to hold them to the same standard for local media.  The difference is the OBL crew are employees of the team and not impartial.    
 

There’s an aspect of journalism in their position, but there’s also a big aspect of marketing the team that doesn’t really exist if you work at a media outlet.   Their job is to get fans excited and interested in the Bills.  
 

Plus as team employees, it would put them in an awkward situation criticizing the same person you have to see every day at work.
 

So yeah One Bills Live is a snooze fest but it comes with the territory and it’s a big reason why I don’t listen unless there’s a guest I want to hear (ie Greg Costello, Dan Orlovsky)

her voice IS very grating, but I actually think she does a good job as far as preparation and leading the conversation.  (Granted I only listen to OBL sometimes, and only during the season really).

I don't know.  I watch it daily and I think there are times when they question some of the Bills moves and are quick to point out their weaknesses.  Today's discussion for example...a caller suggested (as she has almost daily for the last two weeks) that the Bills use their early picks in the draft to move up and get that "deep threat wide-receiver that they need."  Tasker then in response, pointed out that the Bills offense is not the problem...that they scored the most points in the league, etc.  The early picks should be used to bolster the defense...both the d-line and the secondary.  They ranked 29th defensively in 3rd down conversion.  The defense is in the most need of better players...difference makers, as Chris Brown pointed out.  Tasker admitted that WR should be a consideration at some point in the draft, but the Defense demands the most emphasis.

 

I think many on this board would agree with that.

see, I think it’s the complete opposite. To me it sounds like she is always giving the most basic and generic response possible.

 

Tasker: I am really liking how much Spencer Brown has grown. He used to struggle in pass protection against speed rushers but he has held his own lately. He is turning into a complete pass and run blocker.

 

Glab: Yes, Spencer Brown, Bills right tackle and a large intimidating force out there.

 

Tasker: *Stares blankly at her*

I find Tasker more irritating. Good player and all.. but he has no place being on a media talk show. "Back when I played...." is his response to everything.

I think it’s good  of the Bills to still be looking out for one of their ex players …who is obviously doing it a bit tough these days 👍
