This Week in Pro Football by NFL films which ran from about 1967 to 1975 and which recently dropped for free on YouTube was quite a production, complete with Sam Spence orchestra backing. The entire series seems to have been preserved.

My Grandpa was at the first game ever at Rich Stadium...he passed away back in 97 though.  I will be at the Final game at the stadium and hopefully the first game at the new stadium.  It's crazy how Sports become generational

Power back, run over people, and the fastest back in football. Strange combination. So good..

And shifty. And the difference about his shiftiness is he did it at full speed while moving down the field, like changing directions didn't slow him down at all. I'm always amazed when watching his highlights.

add track meet speed...nobody ever ran OJ down once he broke free which was hard to do considering the D always keyed on him....

Simpson had the best 6 year stretch of any Buffalo Bill….ever.

It should have been longer if he didn’t have a dunce for a head coach in his early years.

As for the game, this was sold out in time and the game was shown locally. The only play I remember from that game was the Jets TD that ruined the shutout at the end. I was very young.

I was at the first Monday night game with my older brother (Bills’ first) against Chiefs in week 7 during the stadiums inaugural 1973 season.
He’s gone now, but I’d like to be at first MNF in the new Highmark with my younger brother.  A passing of the baton in a sense.?

Wonder if he could have had another elite year or three if they did not have to run on that concrete like all the artificial surfaces were in the 70s. My knees hurt just watching the tape.

The only game I missed that season was that Monday nighter because I had the flu. But I was glued to the radio and was ecstatic when the Juice went over the 1,000 yard mark in only seven games. That’s when the talk of 2,000 really started to gain steam.

Glad you had that experience with your late brother and happy that you have a younger brother to experience a Momday nigher at the new stadium. I hope you get tickets.

Yeah... But he was down by contact on that first play?  They gave him like 8 extra yards.

That one pass by Fergy to OJ, flags flying in backfield... Most certainly OHolding. Probably called back.
