Ghost of BiB Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I'm sure someone will say "Rommel...I've heard of him!"
VABills Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Sun Tzu. Any real warrior knows that. Those two are amateurs in comparison.
Tux of Borg Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Wasn't it General Tso, who fought and slaughtered Muslims during the 19th century rebellion in China.
VABills Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Wasn't it General Tso, who fought and slaughtered Muslims during the 19th century rebellion in China. 371456 No that's the stuff I order at Tony Changs.
Ghost of BiB Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 No that's the stuff I order at Tony Changs. 371457 Keep with the program I know it's complicated, but the auto-answer is not Chesty Puller.
Ghost of BiB Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 Wasn't it General Tso, who fought and slaughtered Muslims during the 19th century rebellion in China. 371456 No, he made chicken.
EC-Bills Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Hmm... Since Kirk > Picard.... Gudarian > Rummel...
VABills Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Keep with the program I know it's complicated, but the auto-answer is not Chesty Puller. 371460 Puller was far better then them. In fact SunTzu is his only rival in history.
EC-Bills Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Puller was far better then them. In fact SunTzu is his only rival in history. 371465 I like Sun Tzu! It was always a challenge going against him in The Ancient Art of War computer game
Ghost of BiB Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 Hmm... Since Kirk > Picard.... Gudarian > Rummel... 371463 You understand, grasshopper. Basic math.
EC-Bills Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 You understand, grasshopper. Basic math. 371467 I may be slow but I do eventually catch on
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Pfff. Tukachevsky's not an option? For that matter, where the hell's Genghis Khan? He introduced all the basic principles long before Guderian or anyone else. Hell, Genghis Khan was coordinating multiple forces along multiple operational axes separated by hundreds of miles in the 13th Century...it took the rest of the world seven hundred years to even approach that standard. I'd like to see Guderian coordinate the encirclement of Kiev with flags and bonfires...

WHO actually forwarded Armor theory in Germany through the late 20's and early 30's? AND who made it work? Huh. Wasn't Tukachevsky. He was a reactive and learned from Heinz. Guedarian > Rommel

You expect him to know what a good general is?
Ghost of BiB Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 Puller was far better then them. In fact SunTzu is his only rival in history. 371465 Shut up. We're not talking to you. I forget why.

Guedarian > Rommel 371495 Tukachevsky was a reactive that learned from Guderian? Uh, sure...that must be why the Soviets were conducting massed armor maneuvers coordinated with CAS and airborne operations at the brigade and division levels while Guderian was playing soldier with mere handfuls of civilian autos in lieu of the yet-to-be-delivered PzKw-I...

BTW, can you decipher Bills last on Korea? This was from a guy whose services best Generals were a nutcase who started the Korean War because he didn't follow orders and stop, and the Supreme Commander who later became president even though he finished last in his class at West Point. You expect him to know what a good general is? I thought he only saw Star Wars once. Did he like it? Or was he always hung on Yoda? (one of those understanding eye to eye things)
