On my end, I'm fairly concerned about our DT position.  At this point, the FO doesn't have my full benefit of the doubt on that front.  They've thrown a lot of resources at the D-line, and had some successes, but enough failures that I'm not willing to give them carte blanche.

I agree. McD knows his stuff with DBs, and my take is that the Bills had targeted CB Trent McDuffie in the 2022 NFL draft and were left scrambling when the Chiefs traded up in front of them to draft him in a trade with NE, no less. Hence Elam.

I trust this draft to go CB, S, CB, DT, WR. Perhaps bring back Coop and acquire a needed DT in FA, trade. Douglas wasn't even given an offer by Buffalo AFAIK.

Yeah I can see it :) I bolded Olave trade and asked where that idea came from.

I don't remember any trade rumors related to him.

I know for a fact that one team (not the Bills) attempted to trade for Olave, but NO decided that they would retain him this season. The offer was acceptable, but they just decided they didn’t want to go that direction so he’s not available unless someone wants to get stupid.

“Jerome Burton level” off field concerns with Bond per Steve Palazzolo, citing multiple sources. Gotta bring a guy like that in if you’re even remotely considering drafting him.

But why are you considering him and what are you going to learn from a face to face?

I guess you have to ask Beane and McDermott that. A team can bring in a guy like that and ask some tough questions. Find out if he lies and deflects or is honest and takes accountability. It’s something at least. I don’t think you can spend any pick on a player like that if he doesn’t pass that test. If he does, then you figure out at what point he’s draftable and go from there.

Maybe he brings a notebook with him, that will be a final straw...

I’ve said for weeks I want nothing to do with Bond and this was before we were hearing the head case stuff

I’ll be very disappointed if we take him in round 2.

Round 4? Sure

Kyle Williams is the fella. He's going day 2, though.

More proof for your theory that everything is terrible.  They’re talking to a draft eligible player.  The horror.

didn't want to put it as a new topic, but the Sporting News released their Mock draft, and honestly if this draft happened, I would be happy.

Round 1-DT Derrick Harmon

round 2-Pick 56: TRADE to Saints for WR Chris Olave

Round 2, Pick 62: CB Darien Porter, Iowa State

Round 4, Pick 109: EDGE Kaimon Rucker, North Carolina-not my favorite pick, but honesty, I would take him as the 4th/5th DE

Round 4, Pick 132: LB Kobe King, Penn State- better than Spector...pretty productive

Round 5, Pick 169: DB Upton Stout, Western Kentucky-undersized, slot corner

Round 5, Pick 173: WR Tai Felton, Maryland-6'1" sub 4.4 speed and productive in college...this would be a steal here

Round 6, Pick 177: TE Oronde Gadsden II, Syracuse-athletic TE, dad was a Dolphin

Round 6, Pick 206: RB Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State-I am not sure if there is a place for him on the team, but maybe they can IR him and keep him for a year.

That's not what I'm seeing on Sporting News... this one is worse

30. Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall (6-3, 251 pounds)

56. Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee (6-2, 291 pounds)

62. Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State (6-1, 197 pounds)

109. Savion Williams, WR, TCU (6-4, 222 pounds)

132. Jonas Sanker, S, Virginia (6-0, 206 pounds)

169. Connor Colby, G, Iowa (6-6, 309 pounds)

170. Tonka Hemingway, DT, South Carolina (6-3, 284 pounds)

173. Kitan Crawford, S, Nevada (5-11, 202 pounds)

177. Kyle Williams, WR, Washington State (5-11, 190 pounds)

206. LeQuint Allen, RB, Syracuse (6-2, 204 pounds)

Then there's this one, https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/buffalo-bills/news/latest-mock-draft-features-trade-will-leave-bills-mafia-livid-new-england-patriots-new-york-giants-lenneth-grant/c26a192169dacbaa7adb368c

Bills trade down, #30 + #109 to New England for #38 and #77, then shift #38 + #132 to the New York Giants for #34.

What the hell is that trade board value anyway? Pats move up 8 spots INTO R1 for the DIFFERENCE between a 3rd and a 4th... but for the Bills to move up only 4 spots in the 2nd, they need to give up a 4th rounder? Who comes up with this stuff.
