Do you like him enough to pick at 30 or trade up a few spots over Nolen, Harmon or Grant?

Dane Brugler joins Peter Schrager and Ben Allbright

all 3 have us taking Malaki Starks

very intriguing. There has been almost no Bills talk about him prior to today that I’ve seen

I really thought he would go earlier, but I guess positional value has him falling within range. Grant is still my favorite, though I'm probably seeing more potential pass rush, because most of the folks that are keen on film study and the like don't seem to share my enthusiasm.

I'm not sure about Nolen's character, and he's a 3T, but really good. Harmon is impressive, but there are some kind of injury concerns, and I just like Grant better, though again, I sense I'm in the minority there.

Still, I'd be really happy with Starks, and if we trade up to get him, I won't be one of the many of the board who will be blowing a gasket. (I'd rather get him at 30, however.)

A lot of Malaki Starks buzz going on in the interwebs right now. Take it for what it’s worth

Yeah, i've noticed that too. Lots of Bills media hyping up the idea of Drafting Starks at 30 today.

Agreed on the picks

It's just a little off. Round 1 (30) + Round 4 (109) + Round 6 (177) = 234 pts. Pick 24 = 237 pts. Would probably need to throw in Round 6 (206) as well (4 pts.).

30, 109, and 206 is a perfectly even trade for #25 at 230 pts. though and would allow us to keep 177.

Going Starks means Bishop is on Elam trajectory imo

Not really if anything it means that Rapp and him would be in comp at SS. Plus Rapp is on a relatively short term cheap deal so he easily could be a backup.

Drafting Starks would show a lot of imagination on Beane's part, a quality he hasn't really shown. He'll think, "We already have two starting safeties, one a second-rounder last year. I'm not going to put another premium pick there when I have needs elsewhere." It's the same thinking that might have caused him to choose Boogie Basham over Creed Humphrey, who played a position Beane had covered. He didn't seem to grasp that Humphrey could have stepped in for Morse the following year, providing an instant (and cheap) upgrade, just as Starks could supplant Rapp this year or next, and allow Bishop to play his more natural strong safety position.

Daniel Jeremiah’s final mock draft, completely different than the other experts mocks. This year is going to be a disaster trying to pick the first round even more than it usually is. I mean come on now lol

I just can't see this regime spending back to back top 2 round picks on the S position out of anything other than desperate necessity.

Grant and Barron both going that close to us would hurt.  I’d hope we move up a few spots to get either.

Our safeties were baddd but I agree the resource allocation would sadden me, and I think Starks is good.

Brugler got the Elam pick right in 2022 but besides that no one has gotten the Bills pick right since 2022. And at least 3 of them all had us selecting Breece Hall in 23. Until it leaks the day of the draft that the Bills hosted Starks (like it happened with Elam) I’m going to assume what they are hearing is what the Bills want them to hear

So before anyone thinks Starks is a lock.

Peter Schrager predicted Latu to be the Bills pick last year

Albright and Brugler had the right position but Albright had the Bills taking Worthy and Brugler had them trading up for Brian Thomas

Jeremiah had Brian Thomas at 28

So none out of the 4 had the Bills player correct even though 3 did have the position right in WR but I mean that’s hardly surprising.

Whomever we draft first has to start this year.  Hopefully our first 3 picks can start and or at least push to start this year.  Enough of depth.

Grant to Baltimore would be a nightmare.

A ton of offensive linemen in there, which makes a lot of sense. Highest I have seen Zabel and Jackson.

Walter Football has us taking Trey Amos (as does Daniel Jeremiah).  I watched a part of the Rich Eisen show from Monday and he was talking up Harmon as being in play for the Jags at 5.
