Our 2nd 4th rounder is enough to move from 30 to 21 points wise.  To hell with losing a 2nd round pick

I don't think so.  According to the chart I looked at the difference between 21 and 30 is 65 points, which is a high third (or IMO J Cook).

yeah...and the chart the dude posted on the last page only shows moving up like 3 spots or so...I would def be interested to know what GM's actually use for reference.  Or is it pretty wide spread on that too I wonder.  I just don't have a clue.

Not only that but our last 2 moves up a few spots required our 4th, and those were to go up 2-3 spots, to go up 9 spots would take a lot more than that.

Exactly, that would fit the values on the chart from the previous page....I would fully expect going up 10 spots give or take to require one of our 2nds.

While I would prefer to stay at 30 or a small trade up for Grant…

if we move up to 21ish for Barron…. He seems like an absolute stud.

As long as we can still land quality DT’s in Round 2 & 4,  I’d be good with it

PFF has Barron as their #11th overall prospect

The word "versatile" gets thrown around too much with defensive back prospects, but Barron is exactly that. As a natural zone defender with excellent instincts and anticipation, he is a starting-caliber pro at safety, wide cornerback or nickel defender -- sometimes as all three in the same game -- for Cover 3- or quarters-heavy schemes.

Many say this or something similar, and yet there are so many posters here who are willing to trade 2026 trade picks to trade up this year. Makes no sense to me.

Probably in the middle somewhere 🙂

“the Buffalo Bills moving up from 30th overall if a cornerback they like starts to come down the board and get in their range. If Texas corner Jahdae Barron gets to the 21st pick in the draft, I could absolutely see the Bills calling and inquiring about moving to 21 from 30. It’s worth noting the Bills have two second-round picks to help them climb up the board if they see an opportunity present itself in the first round.”

I think posters are upset at the cost which is fair. I don’t think it’s going to cost us a 2nd to move up that far .

But are we happy with the player Bahron ? Has potential but has he shown enough to play outside corner? Especially since we already have a stud nickel corner.

If we could do like we did last year and move down and get a 3rd I'd be all for it but want our top pick in top 45. As I still like Tyleik Williams as our top pick am starting to see him fall down a few draft boards. Round 2 me be about a starting CB and Edge rusher. A guy like Morrison be a next CB assuming his hip checks out and an edge defender like Bradyn Swindon could be nice end finish the 2nd Round.

I’ll sign up for Tyleik as our first pick right now. Even better if it’s a trade back

I mentioned this the other day: I simply do not understand the fixation with the ‘missing’ 3rd Round Pick. We have TWO 2nd Rounders! So in essence we already moved up. I guess some people would prefer we trade pick so we can get a 3rd? Not me!

I think you’re spot on.

I get the feeling that they are a little down on Williams.  I like what I see when he plays, but some say he isn’t good in pass coverage.

He’s also not in town, as far as I know. FWIW.

It delends how the board falls. If Grant, Tyrell, Amos are all available at 30 and we like them all, I have no problem trading down to 34 with the NYG and gaining another 3rd while probably throwing back a 5th. There’s a ton of value in rd 2 and rd 3 this year

This draft has been a bit maligned due to the prevailing belief that there are fewer true 1st Round prospects than usual. The numbers seem to be 12 to 16 players in this tier.

That said, there is also a belief that this draft is heavy with Top 60 players... in other words there are more than 60 players worth a 2nd round grade.

Thus, the desire for a 3rd Rounder stems from wanting the Bills to be able to draft 4 players who could conceivably be immediate contributors and eventual starters.

I don't think most lf us have a fixation with the "missing" 3rd round pick, but there seems to be a sense that there is no way Beane will be patient enough to wait until the fourth round to make another pick after making the second round selections.

Yep sure does, things could change in a heartbeat if you really want a player

If those those 3 are at 30 , do they all slip to 34 ? and of course you must have a favorite ?
