Cook maybe gets you up two or three spots in the first round. You'd be better off trying to get a late second or early third round pick for him.

I see your point. RB is a thing Dallas needs. My trade gives them an established one ( and the press would be good for their egos) and they still have a 1st round pick.

That would make their fanbase happy.

Jones is the type who would do the deal.  Cook and 30 for 12

who would the Bills take at #12?   Nolen?

Who you drafting?

If we got up to 12 with a trade of Cook and our first+, I’m trading back down to 20 and taking Derrick Harmon, while picking up a 2nd or 3rd rounder in the process…👍

I don't see Nolen as a possibility if the attitude issues reported in February are at some level true. He look great at times and certainly in the pre draft process also, but once preseason and training camp arrives  . . .    i don't know

Ok but where does Starks fit in?  I am thinking Forest is going to win one job.  McDermott seems to love Rapp and we drafted Bishop in the 2nd last year.

No problem :)

Bishop needs to be moved to Rapps backup SS spot. It’s his natural position. And we hopefully hope he can beat him out.

Starks is a deep FS so he would immediately start over Hamlin and likely Forrest

Any of the sites that promote a safety to the Bills basically say Hamlin and Rapp suck so they need to add a guy to play with Bishop. But yeah I don’t think Rapp is going anywhere. Draft people don’t like him because he ran a really bad forty that one time.

Starks is better than everyone on the roster, so I wouldn’t be mad. Brugler is usually pretty good no? So maybe there is some smoke to the safety stuff.

I really like the film on Forest.  If he is over his injury, he could be damn good.

The next Chris Jones? He is certainly built like him, with the power and speed…

Unfortunately, I think he will surprise a lot of people and go top 15…But I share your sentiment….👍

A nice consolation would be Tyleik Williams…

If the draft falls right, there is no position I'd rather draft than DT, but if Kenneth Grant and Derrick Harmon are gone, the picture gets muddy.  I'm not real interested in Walter Nolen for reasons I've stated in a number of other threads.  I have some interest in Tyleik Williams, but I have questions about his value at #30.  That's the very end of the list of DTs I would give any consideration to at #30.  There are more I would consider at #56 or #62.

I like Williams and could not care less that he fell over running his 40. But I would prefer him as a consolation in say, a slight trade down with the Giants or something like that. He may even have more pass rush juice than people are giving him credit for, although it might not show up right away.

It's awkward. Rapp is an adequate/average strong safety, and Bishop projects to be an upgrade, even a big one. But neither are a good fit at free safety. If the team didn't have crying needs elsewhere, it would be great to draft Malachi and let Rapp and Bishop compete for strong safety, leaving an excellent backup. (Or trade Rapp.) But it's risky to wait to address CB and DT. Tempting, though. I'd love to see an elite secondary.

If it were the case G,H and Nolen being gone by 25 as well as both Safeties, I would look to trade to 36 for pick 70 and take Tyleik there.  Then I  take 132 and see how far up I can get from 56 and take Collins or Porter or Jackson depending on how position groups were falling. Then I'm taking 2 5ths and a 6th to see how far up from 62 I can get for another 1 of those 3.
