If we can go up a few spots for Grant/Harmon/Nolen  and still keep both our 2nd's....that's the move I'd make

Looking at the draft board , the play is to take one of those 3 DT’s round 1 then move up in round 2 to get the corner

Move up twice if need be. We have a ton of mid round capital to do it

Now both the Giants GM and Browns GM have come out as well as many talking heads like Daniel Jeremiah stating that Hunter will more likely be announced as a WR or have that be his primary position.

Obviously he will still play both but I have been steadfast that Hunter is a better WR than CB throughout this process

Joe buscaglia mentioning something I think has more of a chance of happening than any other scenario, the Bills moving back.  Here he uses the Giants as an example.  They make a lot of sense.

One team to keep an eye on for this could be the Giants. The Giants’ want and need for a young quarterback has been well-documented over the last two years. The close relationship between Beane and Giants GM Joe Schoen could come into the picture here. As of now, the Giants hold the No. 34 selection. By sliding back to that spot, the Bills would know the Giants are moving up to select a quarterback, and since the Bills have no need for one that early, that means they would effectively slide back and potentially miss out on only three players while picking up something of value. The Giants have two third-round selections (Nos. 65 and 99), and if the Bills can extract one of those, it would easily be worth a three-pick wait if they don’t feel strongly enough about someone on the board.

I like this scenario, particularly if there isn’t one specific guy they covet. Seems it would be more likely if they were going corner, but I suppose if there are 2-3 DT’s they have ranked together it could happen also.

Fishing in the big conferences makes more sense than ever in a transfer portal world. More of the actual players end up there than ever before.

Great point.  The hidden "small school gems" aren't staying hidden any more...they're grabbing the NIL cash and playing in the big conferences.

I see this as a real possibility for a number of reason. Chances are at 30, the Bills are going to have a clump of 2nd round grades for players at CB and other positions. The Giants need a franchise QB and probably aren't going to take one at 3. The Bills want a 3rd round pick as this has been Beane's MO since he got here. Beane and Schoen used to work together and while it shouldn't happen this way closer relationships make for easier trades. Plus lets be frank, Beane will do whats best for Buffalo but he also doesn't want to see his former AGM lose his job.

My only qualm per say is because of that close relationship will the Bills not try to extract a premium from the Giants because of said relationship. Looking at the trade chart, a deal that would be even would look something like this with a premium attached.

Bills Receive pick:

34- 175 points

99- 36 points

Giants Receive pick:

# 30- 196 points

Bills get: 211

Giants get : 196

That would be a premium of a high 5th round pick.

If Beane is feeling really nice to the Giants and they want even steven:

Bills Receive pick:

34- 175 points

99- 36 points

219- 3 points

Giants Receive pick:

30-196 points

132- 18 points

Both Teams receive 214 points. I prefer scenario 1 myself as 132 can provide flexibility for moving around the board more.

Agreed. And I’m always a fan of drafting the best players from the best conferences. Makes sense right?

It shouldn’t be that complicated but GM’s like to be the smartest guy in the room sometimes .

Move back to 34 and pick up a 3rd.  Giants use the 2 firsts to possibly move up a spot or 2

IMO they absolutely need to pick at 30. K.C. and Philly pick after us and if we're on the fence at 30, they'll take a player we should have or were hoping to land on  and we will pick a 40 plus player at 34.  No Bueno.

Even if the 3 DTs are gone, I could see the BIlls picking someone like  Scournton, and I'd be ok with that.  Laugh all yous want, but when he's a star in K.C.or Philly and we're waiting to slowly work in the lineup an over drafted CB all for a pick at the end of the 3rd.

We need to use a 1st  from next year and pick who we want, where we want...without all the BS....including sacrificing both 4s for any reason. Use the 26 pick to move up in the 2nd and gain a 3rd. Then our later rds. will do more for us to tighten things up moving around a few spots.  IDK, next Thurs. can't get here fast enough.

It be great if we could move from 30 to 34 and grab a 3rd rounder in the process. Of course it all depends on how the board falls but idk the Chiefs could be in line for a DT and the Eagles seemingly always take BPA and the Browns a tough team to gauge as well. Toss in what if one of them traded down then what?

They’re not going to trade their 1st next year. The paranoia is over the top when it comes to the Chiefs or Eagles taking a guy that the Bills might have. I don’t think the Chiefs are even in the same realm of needs. Chiefs are looking at WR, OT, RB, TE, and maybe a DL but it’s not anywhere near their top need. The Eagles may take a pass rusher but their in the NFC the Bills can’t sit in their draft room worried about a team they see once every 4 years because there is a slight chance they could meet in the SB.

Just look at the visit list man CBs 3-9 all visited here. It’s a very high likelihood they are going CB whether Nosejob or Gonzo1105 want it to happen or not

You remind me of another poster on here with silly madden type concepts. Their not going to wheel and deal all their picks for a few guys

I know that the list is incomplete, but it basically says Golden or CB round 1, DT round 2. Corner in round 4ish if they take Golden.
