Wait so we all want to double dip at DT now after everyone hated the mock?

Anyway, I still 100% believe the first pick will be a corner unless Harmon is there or the hey go after Golden. Probably DT in the second. Not sure what happens after that.

Makes 23 out of 30 and the 7th DB all considered 1st or 2nd round talents. Not sure if Porter gets to 56 might be a trade down or trade up candidate

Id be shocked if AZ Thomas isn’t one of the 7 unreported ones, they’ve basically had cb 3-10 aside from him

Amos visit is today.

Anyone bored enough to go through the Beane era and comb through to see if there is any correlation between when a prospect visits (how close to the draft or further anway from the draft ) and if we draft them?

It's happened a couple of times where their first rounder (or first selection overall) wasn't a top 30 visit. I can't recall for sure but I don't think either Epenesa or Rousseau did an official visit with the team, which would've been virtual at that time. I don't think they met with Elam either. Again, not 100% sure but when I smack together the couple of brain cells left up in that pile of mush those guys came to mind.

Elam did visit. Epenesa was a late 2nd rounder when the vast majority surrounds the Bills using visits solely for 1 st round guys

Agree, he’s likely one of them. I’d suspect we’re missing an edge player or two, a DT or two

I’d be good with Tyleik at 30.

That mock wouldn't go down that way irl. If they went DT at 30, they wouldn't sit pat while 5 CB's went between 36-54. He'd have moved up a little before the well ran dry.

It was only a double dip in the mock bc there's no system in place for a Bills trade up and the 2nd Round value CB's, DE's, and WR's were all off the board.

Yeah I get that. I’m sure they move in the real world. I just think it is ironic that it was mostly panned that we took two DTs and now it seems to be a thing. That’s all.

See to me if you are going to take Porter, it’s a good reason to sign a Bradberry. It’s like getting a coach in the room with a pretty raw dude. Porter is the upside play and I don’t hate it. It’s just high risk, high reward which I am good with.

Trappaso was on Marino today talking about how the Bills need to stop trying to raise the floor and start raising the ceiling. Porter would represent that type of move.

if we take Porter, grab another CB in 4 or 5 to help ensure 1 of them hits.  If Porter is Elam but the later round guy is Benford…we’re fine

HOW is this guy considered a high 1st round pick?

He’s supposed to be 320?  He looks 270

EDIT:  I think this is an older video.  DOV Kleiman got me

But he still looks very small at the combine compared to other DT’s

I’ve heard people talking up the Tulane kid Ransaw as a late round guy. Also super athlete. He may be a nickel though. He certainly looks like he likes to tackle.

the reality is both Benford and Johnson have big health question marks

I agree that CB will likely be our first pick. If not, then definitely in the 2nd. As for DTs, I’m not sure how the Bills would manage the roster if they took two early. The most they’ve kept on the 53 is 5 and often it’s been 4. Oliver and Jones seem like locks. Ditto O-Gun after week 6. Hoecht may see time inside too (after week 6). Carter was a round 3 pick last year. I have seen nothing from him so they might want to move on already, but if that is not the case then I don’t see room for two rookies. One early and one later day 3 for the PS and/or to push Carter would make more sense to me. I think an early swing at an Edge makes a lot more sense than that second DT.

Just nabbed Ransaw (for the first time, and learned a bit about him) in the 5th in my latest mock draft simulation. Nickel flex is welcome, given the nature of Taron Johnson's run fit responsibilities.

I think this guy has to be a Bills second round target…insane athletic profile and a great special teamer, which is now a big need, with Hollins gone…

I think it's DT 1st and wouldn't rule out a trade up. Then CB and. WR.  we brought in too many WR not to be a 2nd round target.  AND even McDermott noted in his year end presser that we need to stretch the field vertically

I could see that too. But it depends on how the board falls. My concerns about this draft center around where the runs are going to be and the Bills reaching for positions because of them. Obviously they are happy to make moves up when those runs happen, but that doesn’t always work out. Sometimes you wind up with an Elam that way. I’d rather they be more aggressive and get a better prospect even if it means not filling every hole with a first or second round pick. Time to change up the usual tactics.

Edit: The other position I think the Bills should consider in the first two rounds is Edge. They have a pretty glaring need there IMO.
