One of my fav LB prospects in this draft. Probably early day 3

I feel he’s destined to be a Bill

Him and the kid from Buffalo.  Those would be some great later round picks and make me feel a lot better about our LB depth and special teams.

Amos is tops in forced incompletion rate. That's production for a CB. He checked the boxes at the combine as well.

I didn't realize there was such a consensus on Amos.  Kiper, PFF, AtoZsports, and ESPN (Matt Miller) all project the kid at #30.

I mean it’s a pretty perfect match without knowing conversations internally. Fills a need for the Bills, player matches the value of the pick and is literally a perfect scheme fit for the Bills

I'm drifting steadily from the belief the Bills can take a trade-down from 30 into mid-30's and secure Amos, to believing if the Bills think Amos is The Guy they'll have to take him at 30. It's just a matter if they believe he's a tier with Thomas/Hairston/Porter/Morrison/Revel, or his own level below Barron/Johnson. If it's the latter, they pick him at 30.

Edit: Benjamin Morrison, not Benjamin Harrison. He's not a President yet. Also, Revel.

Yea he is one of my guys too. I have a 4th on him. Reminds me a bit of Jordan Magee out of Temple who I really liked last year that same sort of athletic, sub-package linebacker profile that these days can be on the field a ton. Magee went in the 5th to the Commanders and mainly played STs as a rook and it wouldn't surprise me if that is Buchanan's route too. But if the Bills want someone in the system who might be a long term Milano replacement...... he would be a decent choice.

And has been on a 30 visit. The Bills are one of the teams for whom that really matters with the first rounder.

2017 - White visited

2018 - Allen and Edmunds visited

2019 - Oliver visited

2020 - no pick (Diggs trade)

2021 - Rousseau (had a zoom, no visits, covid)

2022 - Elam visited

2023 - the one anomaly - Kincaid did not visit

2024 - Coleman visited

I like both Tennessee DTs. We’ve shown interest in both

Have we? Hadn't seen that. I like Simmons as a late day 3 1T option. I think he is exactly the sort of guy you take rounds 6 or 7 and he spends his rookie contract as at least your backup 1T. Which avoids Beano chucking $4m at it every March.

Peckernose on First Things Later Maybe has Bills passing on Derrick Harmon at 30 to select Trey Amos. Shockingly, he then has the Chiefs selecting Harmon at 31.

I'll say this again. The lack of pre-draft trades this year has been remarkable.

I think it’s one of the most unpredictable drafts in a while.  After the top 3 picks, no one knows anything.  There seems to be no consensus at all who’s going in the next 20 or so picks and no consensus about who’s going in the first round in general. Guys like Kenneth Grant are projected anywhere from 12 to 44.  Same with some of the DBs.  And Shadeur Sanders is a big wild card.  I think there will be lots of draft day trades, but teams are taking a wait and see approach.

Exactly. There will be stars in this draft. There always are. But you just as likely to hit on one in the third/fourth round as you are at the end of the first. The scouts are going to have to earn their money.

Kenneth Grant is a good but slightly overrated prospect on this board. Could he be the pick at 30 sure he can be but I would question what we’re doing at CB. I have Grant going in round 2 in my last mock and yes the Bills pass on him

I do like Amos, and the draft appears to be a lot deeper at DT. Still, Grant looks to me like another Ted Washington, who also went late in the first round.

I wouldn’t hate Grant and I’d get it but if I’m looking at where can I improve the most I take CB first. I don’t find Grant to be a must have can’t miss prospect that will be dominant maybe never and def not in year 1
