What do we think he said "Oh, yeah I totally did that."? Of course that's not what happened. So you sit down to do what, see if you can divine if he's lying to you when you have no way to verify that or not? The court situation is pending and will be. The Bills as a team have zero way to know if the kid is being truthful or not so there is ZERO way they can choose him high and unless they are determined not to run away like they did in the Araiza situation he's not draftable for them at all. He was projected by many as a 4th rounder, 3rd maybe, but this really kills his stock. Obviously, teams are going to have a lot more information on this than we will, at least by draft time, so it will be up to them to make the final call. But, if this has any credibility, who knows what happens now. Does he get drafted at all? Does anyone sign him as a FA until this is completely settled? There are going to be a lot of eyes on this situation and if a team brings him in, it's going to be a distraction for sure. Quote

There are going to be a lot of eyes on this situation and if a team brings him in, it's going to be a distraction for sure. This isn't an Araiza situation. Araiza was deemed guilty in the court of public opinion, with what seemed to be insurmountable evidence against him. But the Police never charged him. Even with just the mere threat of *possibly* being charged, there wasn't a team in the league that would touch him. As we've seen with cases of Sexual Assault, most DA's don't charge unless they believe they have a winnable case with serious evidence. The fact that this DA issued an arrest warrant and he's being officially criminally charged for SA makes him undraftable. No team is going to take him and say "I think the police and the district attorney are wrong, he's innocent, and we're drafting and putting our brand and support behind someone who's facing criminal charges for one of the most heinous acts a human can commit". MrEpsYtown Posted Thursday at 11:57 PM Posted Thursday at 11:57 PM (edited) This is all awful. But it’s likely someone winds up with a little bit of a steal if it goes right. Its won’t be the Bills. On top of the legal stuff…Bond seems to have a bunch of other flaws in his game that it’s just not worth it Edited Thursday at 11:57 PM by MrEpsYtown Quote
HappyDays Posted Friday at 12:31 AM Posted Friday at 12:31 AM I don't know what I'm missing but Hairston seems like he should be projected higher, he looks like such a clean fit to the NFL. Smaller frame so maybe that worries teams but his movement skills in coverage are elite. His ability to break on routes is rare. I think from day one you put him on the field and just leave him in off coverage and let him read and react. 6 Quote

I believe the big knock is he is relatively raw with only 20 starts and six interceptions to his name. Super quick though. Quote

He has some vertical traits but very much a developmental prospect. That is odd. Seems similar to Chimere Díke. Quote

He's a red-zone mismatch unit, but has long speed to go with it. I don't know how much he's been asked to do with route trees in Arkansas but he sure popped in the post-season events. Scourton was a good pick. Then he has the Bills passing on Tyleik Williams at #62 so the Chiefs can draft him at #63. And then it gets worse. Quote

Remember they grabbed up Burton another dirt bag - they love distressed assets and they’d be a perfect landing spot for him. 1 Quote
