He's a 2nd Round Prospect. Might even be on the board when we pick at 56 or even 62. If there were any trade up for him, it would be in the 2nd. And I don't think people would lose their mind if they moved up a smidge in the 2nd to Draft a WR.

It's possible. People often see extensive work done on a prospect and think "wow they must really like him". When it's just as likely it's because the prospect is a tricky evaluation or the decision makers have differing opinions on the guy.

 

There's been tons of prospects over the years we've met with a bunch of times and then passed on them every chance they had. We met with Troy Franklin a ton last year too.

I don’t think that describes Bond.  It is much harder to find “first round talent” when picking late in the round.  29 players will be taken before the Bills’ first pick.  Finding a good starter there will be a win.  Of course, we all would like to hit on a great player at the end of the first, but that is the exception rather than the rule.

So Gray was likely watching LB Carson Schwesinger a 2nd round prospect and also DE Oluwafemi Oladejo a 3rd round guy

Knowing this, Kansas City is going to trade up to #29 and take Bond ... Beane will take the DT or CB that he was going to take at #30 that they had a video chat with.

Unfortunately, Matthew Golden is expected to go well before we pick. Maybe he falls a bit and we could trade up. But with all the other holes we have (mainly CB and DT) and the lack of options left in the veteran market to replace them - I don't know that we can afford to give up what it would take to move up for a WR.

Both Golden and Embuka will be in Texas, so I hope DT. I'm kinda liking Harmon a bit more than Grant due to sack production as long as we can also double up on DT
