I really think Bond is the best receiver in this draft. He is a weapon and plays hard.

If I were a receiver running in the range of 5 seconds, I would probably just put in a job application at the local Piggly Wiggly.

Regarding Restrepo running an historically embarrassing 40 time at his Pro Day:

The event was held at Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility, where the Canes often practice.

In the weeks leading up to the pro day did he practice his 40s there?

If not, why not?

If so what were his times?

If his times were even in the 4.7s and/or 4.8s, why was he even allowed to run?

The decision to run cost him millions of dollars. Who on his team was supposed to looking out for this young man?

Bond in round 4? Sure

He’s an athlete more than WR and he didn’t blaze the 40 for a smaller guy

There's a reason he was phased out of the offense in favour of Golden

Im not really a fan

After watching both of them all year I think Bond is a better player. But id be happy with wither of them. Both great players.

I’d guess Bond will go in Round 2 because of his speed, capable route running and only 21

I’d be quite happy with him as one of our 2nds

He can play outside or in the slot according to Lance Zierlein

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Bond to Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

Here’s what the draft analyst wrote about Bond.

Fluid, fast and untapped. Bond played decoy for the betterment of Texas’ offense but clearly has the talent to take on a more focused, productive role. He’s a capable route-runner, has good hands and can play wide or from the slot. An offense should feed him a heavier diet of shallow crossers, deep digs and quick-game throws, allowing him to make magic with the ball in his hands and add to their chunk play total. He’s tough but can struggle on combat catches and against contact-oriented coverage. Bond is an explosive athlete with above-average skill. He simply needs more targets to reach his potential. He’s well-suited to the NFL game and could become a very good pro within his first three seasons.

I can't see Daboll/Schoen holding their jobs on the ship that is Wilson. Stay put take Sanders.

They actually had a nice draft last year, it was just overshadowed by the Saquan (Hard Knocks) decision.

If they stay at 3, The G-Men will have one of Hunter or Carter.

Maybe, like many, they are not that impressed with Sanders.

A couple of 1-Tech's (Priority #1 imo, one early), a 3-Tech, a couple CB's (Priority #2 imo, one early), a WR (a speedy WR who can stretch the defense), a DE. That's 6 picks there.

I think, as some have speculated, the corners we might want, and definitely need, seem to run out - or risk running out -- by our second round picks.  So maybe a corner #1?  I really like a lot of the DTs in this draft and think we can get a good run-stopper in the second.  There are just almost too many good DLs for all the 1 techs to be gone -- ones I like that could be there at the time of our first or second pick include:

-Grant

-Harmon

-Tyleek Williams

- Collins

Would love Hairston or Revel, then Tyleek Williams or Al Collins and a WR or Edge with our seconds.  Could be really fun if Ekbuka or Golden slide to the second, but we would have to go up and get them bc they ain't sliding to late in the round!  Both those guys seem to offer the speed and separation at Y that we lack (but may have already addressed with Palmer, so I could understand an DB, DL, and Edge and get a WR later).  Let's go!

Honestly if we go corner first I think we're going to have to move up 10 to 15 spots in round two to ensure one of those first or second tier 1techs. Williams and Collins will both be gone well before pick 56 imo.

Dinner, private workout and a 30 visit?  Seems serious

Is it as serious as Landon Jackson?

I'm not fully sold on Isaiah Bond. I understand we need WR help, but I'd rather focus on defense in the early rounds.

I saw an article today where Restrepo said he's been running in the 4.53-4.58 range during training.  He felt his hamstring tighten u during warmups to his pro day performance, but ran anyway, thinking he could gut it out and time where he wanted to.  Even at 4.53, I'd question if he would be an upgrade for the Bills over Shakir, since Restrepo would play the slot in Buffalo like Shakir.

I would be thrilled with that.  When one comes off, move up and get the other!

Bills have individual workouts scheduled with Nebraska TE Thomas Fidone and Nebraska DT Hutchmaker

I’ve been saying that 3rd TE is a need for awhile not just because of Morris but because Knox is so expensive and we can move on there next year if we wanted to.

Hutchmaker has played a lot of football for Nebraska. Pure 1 tech and did a lot of the dirty work for that Nebraska team. Might be pretty maxed out when it comes to upside but could be a solid backup 1 tech in the NFL. A late round guy but maybe one who could surprise

I would target Seattle for a trade. They have 50/52   82/92  Send them 2026 1st  62 and 132  for picks 52 and 82.

That moves us 10 spots up in the 2nd and gives us a mid round 3rd.  5 picks in the 1st 109 and 3 5ths to work with.

It's a win/win. Seattle still has two 2nds and still has a 3rd not to mention 2 1sts next year in case they need to look at future QB or build around Darnold...

who I don't think is gonna look the same as in Minny.

Shakir ain't going anywhere soon with that contract extension.

Ouch! does suck as he was the guy I was pegging for our pick.  Edit: But I did find this from https://scarletandgame.com/ohio-state-football-player-goes-down-with-an-injury-during-pro-day

Ohio State football player Tyliek Williams goes down with an injury

Defensive tackle Tyliek Williams went down with an injury during his 40-yard dash. Unfortunately, it looked pretty serious. As soon as he went down, he reached for his hamstring and needed help to get off the field. He hardly put any weight on his leg after that.
