MadBuffaloDisease Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Interesting. I guess he and Portis buried the hatchet.
Rubes Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 add up their combined wonderlic score then put some $ down on that number on the roulette wheel 371404 I thought the house wins on 00?
/dev/null Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I thought the house wins on 00? 371411 i don't think a 0 is possible. you prolly get points for signing your name. but i wouldn't be surprised if their combined wonderlic score really could be found on a roulette wheel (goes up to 38 i think)
Rubes Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 i don't think a 0 is possible. 371431 When I hear what comes out of pro athlete's mouths these days, and think about how much money they rake in, it makes me believe just about anything is possible.
Buftex Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Interesting. I guess he and Portis buried the hatchet. 371405 Did McGahee and Portis have some sort of feud? Do tell!
MadBuffaloDisease Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Did McGahee and Portis have some sort of feud? Do tell! While at UM, Portis told Willis that he'll never be as good as him. He might have even told him he'll never be a good RB.

nick in* england Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Prolly? 371660 means probably... just a slangy sorta shorthand...

He said that Portis and Frank Gore may be more talented than McGahee, but neither worked as hard as McGahee. He had nothing but praise for McGahee.

Give me a guy who is not as talented (and in this case, it's at best a slight difference in talent between Willis and the other guys, which means that Willis is still supremely talented) and a harder worker than a more talented guy who is lazy, anyday.
sfladave Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I'll take McGahee's stiff arm over Portis's happy feet anyday!
smokinandjokin Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I'll take McGahee's stiff arm over Portis's happy feet anyday! 371929 Portis was supposed to have been a real prick at UM. He tried to ruin McGahee's confidence, and gave him no support or help whatsoever. A little nervous about your starting job, Clinton? Obviously, Willis the next year showed what he could do when he scored 119 touchdowns for Miami. I guess Portis should've been looking over his shoulder. Actually, Willis started at fullback in the title game against Nebraska (?) I believe it was (the year before the Ohio St game). I wouldve let a few LB's slip past me to pop Portis if I was McGahee. But he doesn't do that, and that's why he's a player. And I agree, the stiff arm is fierce.

Emmitt Smith carved a nice career out for himself, not being as talented as everyone else...I could live with McGahee sucking as bad as Smith! In the interview, the guy actually inferred that Gore was the most natural talent of any RB he had ever coached, but was lazy in practice, and not a real weight room fanatic either!

scribo Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Did Willis ever do this show? Sorry if this has already been answered. I did a search and couldn't find anything.
