This is like pick up play at the Y for mercenaries. Xavier had a nice guard they brought in this year who did well, now he’s on the market for $1.5-$2mil. I don’t know about others, but as my interests wanes so does my revenue stream. I’m not paying MORE for NIL, I’m just going to care less. That means I quit making trips for games, buying gear and adding to viewership, therefore hurting TV revenue.

ultimately the mid majors will be in their own division the way its going.  St Bonaventure had a guy come in this year and have a good year, so he's in the portal smh

Why recruit and project with HS kids when you can wait and see what they become? Who grew 5”? There are few Cooper Flagg’s in the world, and I’m glad I got to see a bit before he left for the NBA.

EDIT: I do NOT watch the NBA, and I change channels if they talk about it. I used to love the Braves, but it’s all gone to hell.

The highest remaining seed in the sweet 16 was a 10 seed and it was John Calipari's Arkansas. All of the mid major schools were gone in the first weekend.

Well.  They got those schools wrong! 😉

Look... It's the first time since 2008, let's see if it's a trend.  One year doesn't make it so.

College football is doing the same thing. Big schools recruit 5 stars and transfers. That's it. If you are something other than that he prepared to start at a lower tower school.

D1 scouts lower D1 and 1-AA, 1-AA scouts, D2, D2 scouts high school and D3.

Wow— sort of an epic choke job by Duke. Up by 7 points with a minute left, and they lose the game. Brutal FT miss, trouble on the inbounds, and suspect over the back call.

i will say I didn’t care for Duke’s last shot. Flagg is being guarded by their center. Blow by him! Get to the rim! Sort of settled for a 15-foot fade away there.

Duke goes down. Crazy finish by Houston

It ended up being about a bunch of Frosh getting outveteraned by a crew of Jrs and Srs being managed by one of the best coaches to ever do it.

Hahaha…Duck Fook. 10 years of the most 5-star recruits in the country, a stockpile of dark NIL money, and no championship game appearances! 😂

Houston needed a team full of seniors and the refs to barely squeak a team led by freshmen. How pathetic 😂.

Classy.

Are you the guy that shows up at little league games and screams at kids about how much they suck?

Or are you no longer allowed at the park?

At 59-45 Dook’s win probability was 99%. That’s an epic choke job.

You’re the guy that moderates a football message board as a hobby 🫵😂

You're welcome.

I'd ask what kinds of things you do for others in this world, but we both already know there's no answer to that. 🤷‍♂️

it honestly should go down as one of the biggest choke jobs of all time, especially considering the talent Duke had out on the floor.

I do think Flagg’s last shot was not a smart play. That’s a play you run with 3 seconds left, and you have only one option. Duke had 17 seconds left and could have easily just run their normal set and looked for an open shot. They made no contested outside shots all game— so they think suddenly Flagg is going to hit his first pressure shot of the year one on one, fading away with a hand in his face? Low odds.
