The 2020 summer of love was necessary.  And it mostly peaceful, too!

 

But J6 was the worst thing to happen since that tea party happened in Boston.

I agree that 2020 was mostly peaceful.  I also agree that violence, when not justified under applicable penal laws, is wrong.  I disagree with any suggestion that violence against automobiles is in any meaningful way similar to violence against law enforcement officers, other people, and the United States Constitution.

Would burning Tesla cars and throwing molotov cocktails into dealerships be comparable to say burning down a police station in Minneapolis or setting fire to DC?

 

You either condemn ALL political violence without parsing and hand waving or you can't/won't.

There were a lot more people walking around and exercising their 1A rights relative to the issue in question than there were people engaging in violence against person and/or property.  That’s how.

Not in the least.  Tens of millions of Americans protested that summer.  The number of protestors who committed crimes and/or acts of

violence in conjunction with those protests is tiny in comparison.

There is no place for political violence of any kind. Protesting is allowed but I'm not into that. I've never been to a protest or any kind and I never will even go to one let alone participate.

J6, where hundreds of protesters charged with misdemeanor trespassing were jailed without bail or due process for upwards of 18 months and then given maximum sentences for doing nothing other than walking into the building through an open door and talking selfies. An abuse of power by the government against ordinary citizens. The same people that cheered all that on are now demanding "due process" for illegals that are criminals and members of violent gangs.
