The Albuquerque Journal ran the astonishing article last week below the bland, uninformative headline, “Doña Ana County judge resigns after feds arrest man at home.” It was an all-American story about a small-town judge, a quiet, well-kept house, a nice, peaceful neighborhood— but while the judge’s wife was in the kitchen cooking dinner, a designated terrorist was out back polishing a suppressed AR-15.

 

     Christhian was first caught crossing the border at Eagle Pass in December, 2023, but was freed three days later— due to overcrowding. This year, three days before Judge Cano tendered his letter of resignation, the El Paso Homeland Security Office, responding to an anonymous tip, raided the judge’s Las Cruces home and found the gang member living in the judge’s guest cottage, or what the locals call a casita.

Homeland Security officers nabbed Lopez-Ortega with a bunch of guns (a felony), and the family closed ranks, claiming the guns were owned by the Judge’s daughter, April. The government’s April 8th motion for reconsideration drily reported, “The Defendant admitted that he knew it was illegal for him to possess firearms.”

Congress didn't declare war on Afghanistan or Vietnam to name a couple, so we've established precedent for fighting wars without an official declaration. So case not closed.

 

Also our military is currently engaged with the Houthi's and I don't recall any declarations or discussions within Congress. Threats being made against Iran and nuclear installations. Any declarations there?

So you can use war power acts anytime anywhere?  Why even bother then.  Just call him a King, and let him do whatever he wants.  Can you explain to me why it's not illegal for him to have people thrown in foreign prisons for immigration issues here?  How is labeling someone a terrorist, via connection to an alleged gang not any different than Nazi Germany with the Jews?  Then justify the whole thing with we are at "war".  The whole thing is STUPIDLY absurd.

So you're equating religious faith with gang membership? Okay then.

 

And I didn't say we're at war. I simply disproved the belief there is some Congressional requirement of a declaration of war to send the US military into conflict with some foriegn entity. In my reference to Afghanistan Bush was after al Queda  terrorists after 9/11. So again a president declared a group a terroist organization and sent the military after them.

 

Don't get you panties bunched about Trump having access to these powers like he recently wrestled away control of some Congressional authority.  Bush, Obama, to name two did it before. Neither party in Congress pushed back on the intrusion to their authority. In fact Obama is famous for ordering drone strikes on terrorist targets in Pakistan with no concern about collateral damage. Quite ironically, the Nobel committee soon after saw fit to award him their Peace prize.

I'm not discussing military actions.  We all know that happens.  We're discussing the legality of using the Alien Enemies Act.  It's specific to being at "war"(declared) or invasion:

 

Basis 1: "...whenever there shall be a declared war between the United States and any foreign nation or government," or

Basis 2: When "any invasion or predatory incursion shall be perpetrated, attempted, or threatened against the territory of the United States, by any foreign nation or government..."

 

It's as illegal as the day is long.  Any person capable of reading English can see that, except of course a couple of corrupt SCOTUS judges.  

 

This guy was accused of being MS13 by one confidential source, that claimed he was in a NYC street gang.  He never lived in NYC. trump then declared a street gang 'terrorists', and is using this war powers act to deport.  It's not even flimsy, it's straight up garbage.

 

Are you even going to bother responding to how he is legally able to send people(notice I didn't say criminals, again words have meanings) to a foreign prison???  He then has this self-proclaimed dictator, that jails people for no crimes(just for the money), into the Oval Office.  This is complete bizzaro world.

1. People who arrived in America illegally as unaccompanied minors cannot be deported even though you know they came here illegally. 

2. Constitution says only legal citizens can vote but the  federal government cannot require voters to prove that they are citizens.

3. Trump cannot stop funds from going to sanctuary cities that blatantly violate federal immigration laws.

4. Trump may not put federal grants and contracts on hold when schools and colleges discriminate against people based on race AKA DEI. 

5. Trump must reinstate the leftist-controlled Voice of America and rehire all the employees.
