If the majority opinion is the relaxed numbers rule suck is it really "old man yells at clouds?"

Is this a Bills MB "majority opinion" or are you suggesting it's more broadly held? If it's Bills-specific, well then I would argue that Bills fans still skew a little older and more conservative than the league average.

Important to note: I don't even fully disagree with the preference for the older numbering schema. It was helpful.

The dirty Chiefs are the one's that proposed the rule change because they ruin everything.  I think the players pry prefer it more than fans (besides Brady of course).  In general though, people don't like to be confused and they don't like change.  Both meet the criteria.  From more players changing jersey numbers to the expansion of the positional number options.

Got some geezers yelling at clouds in this one...

Tom Brady also doesn't like all the randomness with jersey numbers now. Do you really want to be aligned with Tom Brady?

I remember him complaining about it. I think his reasoning was identification purposes when reading defenses.

Maybe it's me just being old school, but I miss LB numbers in the 50's.  I know you still see them, but they are not nearly as popular as they once were with players.  I mean, 8 will be fine for him, but I am still one of the few that like to see LBs in the 50s, WRs in the 80s, OL in the 60s, DL in the 90s, and CB in the 20s.  I will say I don't mind WRs and RBs in the single digits, but it's nice to see a throwback once in a while as well.  Like Hoecht taking 55.....perfect.

I have to agree LB’s in the 50’s were the best!!!

The the 60’s came and it was all about the OL.

70’s not so much

Now the WR’s in the 80’s were the best …almost as good as the music.  THAT level of good!

The 90’s were ALL about the DL.

Look it up!

🤦‍♂️😮🤣

Smart business decision by Bernard.

He was probably eyeing up one of those gold number medallions and a single digit comes at half the price of of double

digit one.

I miss the old nfl days where linebackers wore numbers in the 50’s wearing thick shoulder pads. I picture Bill Romanowski pummeling players into the ground, sometimes literally
