Chandler#81 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago So, with the exception of an aging Bosa replacing the aging Von Miller, we’ve done virtually nothing in FA to address our porous Defense, right? just tryin’ to see the trees through the forest..🤷♂️ Quote

They've done nothing that will be any different come week 1. How long before Non Miller becomes Noey Bosa? Quote
Dillenger4 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I was happy with the Hoecht signing. O-gun I was meh. But now, with a 6-game suspension for both and BB knowing about both situations?!? It's comical. I understand the Hoecht signing even with the 6-game suspension as he is a 3 year deal, so big picture/long term strategy. OK, we eat the 6 games for him. But O-gun??? BB was told after the fact about the suspension, given the opportunity to negate the signing. He still moved forward. Very interesting situation. I sure hope it works out! I do expect Bosa to be an upgrade over Von. Groot has room for improvement but he is solid. So we need to "weather the storm" for six-7 weeks while these two signings get up to speed. (No pun). Quote

Toss in we added a versatile player that is suspended for the first six games. We also added a DT that has started in Cleveland/Pittsburgh the last 7 seasons and yes he is suspended the first six games as well. The suspensions hurt no doubt but at the same time the season is a marathon not a sprint. 1 Quote

I've never been critical of BB, but this is pathetic. BUT,BUT,BUT, they'll be fresh for a playoff push. Yeah ok, hopefully we're not 2-4 by that time. And I'm not holding my breath come draft day. Last year there were several teams with more than 1 pick in rds. 2-4 and plenty of opportunities to get an extra 3rd rd. pick but BB sat on his hands and called it a big win getting Bishop. I'm not expecting any different this year. I won't be surprised with WR or CB 1st then JAGS (with traits later). Maybe even take a couple of 5ths this year and turn them into 2026 picks. It's looking like a repeat of last year. Draft a DT mid to late to develop, roll out DQ and JP. Roll out Hamlin and Lewis and hope Defenses don't adapt to anything we did on Offense last year. I really don't think 2 mid level rotational DL would be the difference between going 2-4 and 5-1 or 6-0 over the first 6 weeks. If we are sitting at 2-4 after 6 weeks it will likely be because we have much bigger issues than 2 suspended DL IMO. 1 Quote

When its the difference between getting paid million$ a year, or being on the unemployment line with barely enough skills to make a livinig wage outside of football, the majority would roll the dice. Especially when every one around you is doing something similiar.... It really is up to the NFL to make punishment so severe it can completely derail your career and keep you out of the NFL. Basically the NFL needs a 1 year suspension for 1st violation and removal from the NFL on the 2nd violation. Then you will make some headway against PEDs. The loss of a career would resonate loudly but the NFL obviously chooses to look the other way. Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Many on this thread should take a break. You all have worked yourselves into some serious negativity and depression. FWIW, we won 13 games without the 2 guys suspended, and without Bosa ( who is an upgrade over Von.) Do as Frankie says and Relax. 1 Quote

Well it could be because DQ is getting manhandled 1 on 1, ED is getting stuffed because of it and whatever JAGS they throw back out there are a DEJAVU from last year. As of right now, I hope they decide to start playing rookies and go JAG free. ED/Carter/Grant and Collins. (Groot/Bosa/Solomon/AJE...Princely and Ivey. Bosa will get hurt, so after week 6 that'll give us 11. Quote

Does it just suck to live in a world of scenarios you make up in your head? Also, Bosa will get hurt? By week 6? You from the future? He may. His injury history recently suggests it is possible. But let's not put this is absolutes. He has a LOT riding in this season to include if the Bills or some other team will view him as a too EDGE again. His payday next year is directly tied into his performance this year. Can't do that inactive. My gut tells me the dude is an absolute warrior this year and plays through everything he can. Quote
