Missing 6 regular season games. Then it takes a game or two to get their wind and legs back after sitting for so long. Beane got played, doesn't matter how long he liked a guy.

I'm not saying there's something that might accelerate that process but I think we'll be just fine in that area based off past history.

He only got played if others knew first. It was apparently fresh news delivered by the Steeler's Man of the Year. Sometimes stuff just happens. I’d need to know exactly when everybody became informed before making judgments.

I gotta feeling this will linger a little bit … as you say when did Larry know exactly , and when did he tell  the team ….some of the media might be doing some digging …hopefully all above board and it’s just a coincidence of timing ..

Yeah, the Matt Araiza situations comes to mind, where some teams knew and Beane didn't. And Araiza didn't disclose this to the NFL first.

He's done great things with winning the AFC East every season and being a playoff team each season. Most other teams would love that success.

The other side is the goal is a Super Bowl

I would say good things, not great. Great to me includes postseason success which we have not had.

To be frank, the first six games don't matter. On the one hand, every game matters, but on the other about three to four really matter for us. Ultimately one.

Frank,

All the games add up. Starting out winning does matter in the end. Ask Cincinnati. But to be fair, hopefully Bosa will be healthy and be a beast the first 6 weeks to offset it.

Apparently he only found out just as the contract was being finalized.  His B sample test results aren't even in yet.  Per his presser.

He seems a little vague around the timing in his presser …

It will be interesting seeing what the NFL does with the schedule.

Im sure we will be early season prime time with one of the big games.

I was so pumped we added these guys, more Hoecht than the other guy. Now we are without them and it’ll take time to ramp them up after a 6 week layoff.  Great.

I'm rooting for him.  I did think it was kind of interesting it felt like he came in at 100 for PC "It's so great to be here!" - seemed to be wanting to set a real over the top positive/optimistic tone, knowing that the suspension questions were sure to come

Amen, he needs our support and the hope is we can go at least 4amd 2.until they get back.

it’s kinda the GM’s job to know these things before they happen.

Its part of the reason they’re paid a lot of money.

I heard today Ogunjobi didn't even know until after he agreed to terms. The fact is no one knew this and there's no way for Beane to know ahead of time because this comes from the league. All this could be avoided if the NFL simply announced who is suspended BEFORE free agency. Something for the next league meeting I suppose.

We win playoff games every year. That is considered postseason success. 🙄

does anyone know if they can appeal and get it down to 2 or 3 games?

He is choosing not to.
