Ogunjobi is at least guilty of bad faith. The Bills should get back every penny of his contract. *****in' ridiculous. That makes our entire FO look stupid. 4 Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted March 14 Posted March 14 A pass rusher who won't cost too much but still has potential and is now fully healthy is James Houston. I think he could fill in nicely as depth until they are back from suspension. Quote

Could be HGH, blood doping, or something else and they're banned for a reason. Could also be Adderall. PEDs encompass a variety of things, which makes my point. PEDs don't automatically mean steroids. If you took the time to read what I was replying to, you would understand the context of what I was saying. Edited March 15 by Herc11 Quote
oldmanfan Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I think Beane has done a very good job, and I think most would agree. But this is a big error on his part. He should call a presser and own it. Quote

He said that Hoecht TOLD the Bills about his upcoming suspension. The Bills were fully aware of it and decided to sign him anyway. He said that Ogunjobi's suspension news didn't come in until during/after the contract signing process, at which point he told the team immediately. So they DID know about Hoecht. And they COULDN'T have known about Ogunjobi because it hadn't yet happened. He was a Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee just last year and has a spotless NFL resume with no previous suspensions. What exactly was a "PI" supposed to uncover about such a player? If you disagree with the decisions to go ahead with signing these guys after learning of the pending suspensions, then fine. But saying "he didn't check this out with the league" or talking about hiring PIs shows me that you're reacting without even having watched/listened to/read what Beane had to say about the situation. Just watched myself, unfortunate situation. However, we have the roster to sustain such things…just like last year with von and milano out. Quote

34-78-83 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 - Privacy laws make it so there’s no way the Bills could have known about this with regard to Ogunjobi. He was just advised of the this as the contract was getting inked in the past couple days, and has no history. Man of the year candidate. -the contracts are both being adjusted accordingly, as reported -people think a ped suspension means the person is a raging steroid freak when in most cases it’s a supplement or a recovery booster or something like that they were taking. Still on the nfl illegal list but… so all the pitchfork crowd can rightfully be upset about is signing Hoecht while knowing his situation. Period. 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Here's my only problem. These guys were enhancing their bodies and were given a contract offer based on how they performed while in them. If they are smart (which no promises they are) they will be off them for at least the foreseeable future.... potentially reducing their play. In short we ordered Steve Rodgers after the Captain America syrum and may end up with the 80 year old weak geek on the field. 2 Quote

streetkings01 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I remember the Bills drafting Shaq Lawson knowing his shoulder needed surgery….i thought we were past stuff like that 🥺 2 Quote

I don't think those of us deeply disappointed here are part of a "pitchfork crowd". When your Super Bowl window is wide open and the time is NOW to stack the deck and win a championship this kind of mistake can be fatal and frankly is inexcusable. 1 Quote

If this was late in the season taking them out of the playoffs, sure I can understand the outrage. It couldn't of happened at a better time to begin the season. People are overreacting. But if we have just our fair share of injuries on the D combined with the loss of these two guys who were expected to get a lot of playing time then it is really going to hurt. Quote

It certainly feels a little like the time they did not know about the Ariza stuff, or didn’t think it was a big deal Quote
