These deals have to be voidable.

I think they knew before both signed their contracts they were missing six games?  Correct as I'm trying to catch up here.

What’s really Billsy is the nfl will probably have us play the bengals, chiefs, Texans, eagles, ravens and buccaneers for the first 6 weeks. Our toughest opponents

Yeah that is a crap stretch, especially to start

the season off that way.  So why would Beaner make a bone headed move like he did?

Was it too hard for him to interpret the results?

With the pressure to produce, I can imagine every player is looking for some way to get an edge.  There are probably things players can take which are legal, but perceived at least as performance enhancing.  I can also imagine that the official list of banned substances is long and probably gets updated somewhat frequently as the league tries to play catchup with what players are using.

NFL policies are weird man.  Domestic violence incident and it's four games.  Automatic six games for PED suspension.  Allegedly kill two people and get enshrined in the HOF.

And when the NFL notified him that he  failed he didnt notify his new / prospective employer prior to negotiating a multi million $ contract ?  I can’t believe he wasn’t notified until after the FA period opened.

Makes zero sense that the NFL

works that way.  My guess BB had to know, no?

Like I said something is off here!

I really think people should go out and touch grass and have a beer.

It's a weird, kind of embarrassing, and definitely less than ideal situation. I agree with you. Beane seemed embarrassed in his presser.

I also think it'll be forgotten about by Monday. The idea that the whole league is laughing at us or that it's this giant black eye that warrants firing Brandon Beane...it's just prisoner of the moment stuff, in my opinion.

It sucks, its ugly, and no one's happy about it. I just think people are making it even bigger than THAT and acting like its some epic referendum on Brandon Beane and like...okay...sure. If that's how you feel, then that's your prerogative. Just as it's my prerogative to think that's silly.

Could not agree more.  If these guys make game changing plays in the playoffs, it will be a stroke of genius.  For the first 6 games, no big deal.  No way the Bills don't win the Division and make the playoffs.  Sure it's awkward right now, but it will pass.

I thought we were a “culture” franchise (they knew about Hoecht!!).  And, with Ogunjobi, it’s very sloppy legwork by the FO not to have seen any red flag.  Bad look on both counts.

Six games missed by two key DL rotational depth is going be a big factor in our race to win home field advantage…

What an odd situation. Makes drafting a couple of D-Line players early a priority.

Eh I don’t think so. The Bills usually cruise through the first half of the season. I doubt 2 rotational D-linemen will be much of a difference when it comes to a W or L. Doesn’t take away how stupid the signings were though…

I understand the league only just notified Ogunjobi after he had already signed.  I only caught part of what was said on WGR, but I guess if a player has a positive test, the league does another test because of the risk of a false positive. Ogunjobi knew he'd tested positive in the first round but hadn't heard the results of the re-test.  I agree, that's still a pretty lame excuse.
