But doing what you suggest would leave the Tesla owner with a keyed Tesla and charged with assault. Go to the police and have the keyer charged. Those things have cameras all over them so you got the video evidence. Take them to small claims court or file a claim with your insurance company. They'll find out who it is. This whole thing is sooooooo dumb. I guess it makes them feel good but They're not hurting President Musk in any way, shape or form. He's already got the money. If it's at a dealership, they're insured so they're not hurt. And on top of that if you're not captured on a ring camera or some security camera or some other camera, the Tesla itself has cameras on it. Stupid criminals. On a side note, it is kind of funny that auto correct corrects Tesla to Feels. I've found in my youth that when you screw up intentionally to cause harm to someone or something that someone else owns a ass whooping sends a much better learned experience & takes much less time and effort . Even if this guy goes through the courts how long will that take, how much money or retribution will he actually get & how many more times will that POS go out and do it when a camera isn't present ? But I bet if you walk up to him, show him the video so he knows that was your car & then lay his ass up against the car and tell him in no uncertain terms that he is that POS and then key his car as a reminder every time he looks at it or just flat out punch that POS right in the mouth the next time he goes to key some ones car he's gonna think twice because of what happened the last time . Some times especially in todays sensitive world some old timey justice is much better but people today are so sensitive and think that the law is always on your side when in todays world usually the criminal has more rights than the victim and usually only gets a slap on the hand or doesn't wind up paying for it anyway . In some cases not all a bit of old fashion justice would send a much louder message . 1
The Frankish Reich Posted Friday at 04:31 PM Posted Friday at 04:31 PM Tesla does have a serious production quality control and innovation problem. It was so far ahead of the pack in the last decade, and now it probably isn't even in the top 5 of EVs. Musk distracted by too many other things going on? His operating philosophy no longer working? This is separate and apart from his breaking of the Michael Jordan Rule ("Republicans buy sneakers too") 1

I'm pretty sure they have the top selling evs in 2024, not sure what point you're trying to make here. 1

I'm just saying that Tesla has problems that are separate and apart from the Elon branding.
Wacka Posted Friday at 07:45 PM Posted Friday at 07:45 PM (edited) I've seen one Tesla in WNY. Maybe because there is a charging station about 2 miles from me. They run really bad in the snow. The cold saps the batteries, just like your flashlights. Edited Friday at 07:46 PM by Wacka

Just saying that the stock is coming back down to earth not just because of the Elon factor. No new models other than the disastrous cybertruck this decade. People wants electric SUVs; Tesla hasn't upgraded/improved (or reduced cost) of the ultra unreliable Model X since it was introduced. They've kind of squandered what seemed like an insurmountable lead in EVs.

The kid would probably sue the person who grabbed him for "mental anguish",win and the then person who grabbed them would be branded by the media as a "far right terrorist" Edited Saturday at 05:17 PM by dgrochester55 1

I think it is really a neighborhood by neighborhood thing. My neighborhood has a bunch but if you travel a few miles out into "the country" I stop seeing them nearly as much. Definitely it comes from being near charging stations and the convenience of it.

I live in Cheektowaga . I have been in OP maybe less than a dozen times in the last year. Usually going down Southwestern and to check out the progress once or twice on the new stadium. The Tesla was in the Tops parking lot by me where they installed charging stations a couple years ago. Usually are empty. Edited Saturday at 06:49 PM by Wacka 1
