harmonkillebrew Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Not sure I understand the logic of using FA to add depth at this point. With a roster on the cusp of a SB, shouldn't you maximize your FA dollars to add difference makers. Do Green, Palmer, etc.. really get us closer to the SB? And with 10 draft picks why not add depth that way? I think Beane and McD have maxed out their championship potential. Can't change course from build up a cellar dweller to perennial contender. We now need to become the best, not just make the playoffs. 2 Quote
somnus00 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Beane likes stocking up on OL and trading them for draft picks later. 1 Quote

LyndonvilleBill Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Well, on a positive note. He hasn't been suspended for PED's. And from his past performance I don't think it'll be an issue. 🫣🤣 Quote

We are literally set on the OL for gameday guys and maybe Gouriage gets the last spot who has been developed here for two years. They need the bodies for training camp as usually in camp there are close to 20 guys why pay a guy over a million to help out with drills in camp? Quote
ColoradoBills Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I sometimes wonder about signings like this. If fans believe Beane signs guys like this in a vacuum, then I do wonder what the reason why. Ultimately, I think he doesn't and an OL coach like Aaron Kromer has input. Maybe they think he has a chance to improve. 1 Quote

Charles Romes Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Wonder if this means we will be taking the short armed pass rusher out of Marshall Quote

He is very unique in his teaching, teaches techniques that not many other guys teach and because of that he can re-program guys with things that work for them. I feel like he coaches to player's strengths rather than turning them into cookie cutter robots. So if he sees something in Green I'm down. PFF O line scores mean nothing IMO. It is good at times, I don't agree with their OL stuff. 2 Quote

Unless you’re mid to late round rookie you’re making a million dollars so it’s not a waste to sign him to a million. If they signed him to 2 million your point would be more valid Quote

I think that, so long as he's a giant tub o' goo, he's not asked to pass-block, and he's an eccentric flat-earther, he will fill the void left by Hart perfectly 🤣 1 Quote

Pete Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Interesting signing. 2020 3rd round pick. 6’4 311. Started 18-26 games, struggled some. Lost starting job to Kevin Datsun, who signed a $48 million contract. Got traded to Texans, and got injured. 9.23 RAS score. Aaron Kromer is the best teacher and great at converting RAS to OL success. This, and OL 2026 consideration. Cyrus about to get paid. 1 Quote
