Guys, you have to understand that there is a need for camp bodies and this applies here.

If all are healthy, the Bills ALREADY know who their 9 OLmen are going to be on the opening day roster. If they are going to keep 10, Green will be battling a few others in camp.

No need to be up in arms over this move.

You're right.  There are so many bigger moves to be up in arms over.

May I ask how you know this?

I'm not casting aspersions or questioning your knowledge of football. I know you're a draftnik and a guy who's very passionate about watching and evaluating players.

But when you comment on a Kendrick Green type, I wonder: Did you watch a bunch of Texans game and zero in on the o-line? Are you making your comment based on your memory of him as a college prospect? Did you hear that the Bills signed him and THEN go and watch him?

I'm not trying to troll you, I'm just genuinely curious. How do you already have in your rolodex of personnel knowledge an amount of information on a guard from the Houston Texans sufficient to be able to declare that he's dreadful?

There are 1,696 players on NFL rosters each year. How do you keep track?

Mainly from his time on the Steelers. He started for Pittsburgh on that utterly dreadful line they had a couple of years ago. The one that caused them to go and draft OL in the first twice in a row and once in the second to totally retool it. I haven't really focused on him in Houston but I doubt he has got better. He can't anchor, his feet are a sloppy mess and if a defender gets into him it is down over he is beat.

I watch about 10 NFL games most weeks so I like to think I have a pretty good working knowledge of the league. Some teams more than others. Steelers got a ton of prime time games when he was there, we played them that year in Buffalo, and they get shown a lot on UK tv in the normal Sunday slots cos they have a decent fanbase here.

PFF grade of 19.4 in pass blocking!!?? Am I reading that right or are my eyes just that bad..🫣

He is beyond bad.

Look up the CJ Stroud sack number last year, most of them were right through the interior the the Texans O Line.

Why the Bills signed him i have no idea.  He can MAYBE latch on as a practice squad emergency backup.

Just checked. You are reading it right. Based on the PFF system that suggests he is pretty much worse than playing without a right guard. ðŸ˜†

He's Vlad Ducasse bad...

Yep. The Vladiator is actually a pretty good comp. Moves a bit better than him but same mess of a technique.

I live in Houston and have to suffer through a lot of Texans games and I saw a lot of him.  Sans major interior o line injuries, If he even makes our practice squad I will be surprised.

Oh, great.

I trust your judgment, so I'm way less than excited about this one.

Still, I gotta believe he's better than dreadful.  Bills must see something there, some potential.  Can he return kicks?
