Bray Wyatt Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago He was cut no? So doesnt count for comp picks? Quote

He’s legitimately better than Elam and probably cheap. 55 minutes ago, Process said: If you are disappointed with this move, you are just looking for reasons to be disappointed. Dane is a wonderful depth player, but he isn’t a good enough starter on a team with Super Bowl aspirations. Douglas got picked on consistently last season and I don’t see Jackson as an upgrade on Douglas. This team still needs a real starter at CB. Asking a rookie draft pick to fill that role would compound the mistake. I am a Beane fan overall, but if the plan is to give Dane a chance to start, Beane has made a mistake. Lieutenant Aldo Raine Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I actually think Dane is a solid player, good back-up. 1 2 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) I know free agency is not over and another move could come. But this is 2022 all over again. They will talk about Dane as a solid vet starter blah blah and the entire league is going to know we are picking a corner and that's annoying if it happens again. Dane is fine as depth. He is not a starter. As long as they don't back themselves in a corner again, this is fine. Edited 7 hours ago by MrEpsYtown 2 Quote

Beane doesn't need to pick a CB with #30. He has 3 picks to find one in the first 2 rounds. 1 1 Quote
transplantbillsfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We knew this was coming right? Upgrade over Elam for the 3rd CB. Now we get the starter Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I think this is more a depth signing and I still expect to draft one to compete to start at the very least, likely first 4 rounds and good chance first 2 rounds given we have no 3rd. 1 Quote
Virgil Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Very happy with this. Still want to see us draft a #2 DB, but Jackson and Ingram give us good depth and insurance 2 Quote

One with the 3 early picks and one in the 4th or 5th we’ll draft one early and one late. Also, don’t be surprised if we sign another UFA cb and don’t be surprised if Von is resigned Quote
SydneyBillsFan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I LOVE IT! Granted, he's no superstar....but is as good as you could get for the money (which I assume will be $3-4 million tops). No major holes going into the draft. You couldn't ask for much more than that. 1 Quote

I don’t think the plan is for Dane to start. The plan is for Dane to be injury insurance. He is better than Elam if our starting CB1 with concussion history gets another one. That’s an upgrade. 1 Quote
