Draft a CB in the first 2 rounds to replace him at some point but at least he is familiar with the system/team/coaches.

Dane is serviceable, knows the system and can play man to man.

 

But we are definitely drafting a CB or two this year

I don’t think this precludes the Bills plan at all and I still expect two rookie CBs in the draft. One with the 3 early picks and one in the 4th or 5th

Not that he's horrible- Just wanted someone else as Dane has a lot of limitations .

 

The rookie they draft better be good lol

They still have to go DL and WR, but they are definitely going CB as well. Hopefully Beane can find one that can start and contribute right away.

And that should (thankfully) end the Rasul Douglas experience here. 

 

Dane plus a rookie or two is about as good as we were likely to get in this spot IMO.

Every year during the draft there is talk about good CBs to be drafted.  But there are never enough to go around.

Good CBs are hard to find.  Bills have 2 of the 3 covered already.  Find 1 more and things are OK.
