The wrist injury he sustained was recommended to have surgery on it. I believe this is why he was used as sparingly as he was. He has experience with Josh and the locker room and if healthy, I think he'd be a much greater contributor. With respect to the bolded part...that's significant. I didn't realize that. Was this something confirmed by the team physician? If this is the case, I can't see them bringing him back at this point, despite the premium pick. That's too bad - I really had high hopes for him after his first game. Seems like everyone had a wrist injury at one point last season. Quote
CSBill Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I'm guessing (speculating) that he will wait until camps open to find a place where he is needed and can win. 1 Quote

davefan66 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Would love him back if he was involved in the offense. Don’t want him back as just a decoy. Believe he can give production and showed last year he can make some nice catches. Quote

bearstobills Posted March 14 Posted March 14 The need is for speed. Here's a better question; would you trade James Cook for Marvin Mimms straight up? I think I would. 1 1 Quote
Bray Wyatt Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I wonder if we maybe have a deal in place with him where he signs after the comp pick window. If he was going elsewhere I feel like he would have done that by now but who knows. Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I started to get really excited about him during the Kansas City game. Then it just sort of never happened again. He had that one fantastic touchdown catch towards the end of the year I don’t recall against who. I remember thinking this guy looks slow. I guess that’s the knock on him is that he just can’t run anymore. Quote

Royale with Cheese Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I would take him back because I don't think he's going to bword about a 0-3 target game. We're going to spread it around like we did last year. He doesn't have the consistent juice but still has some juice. 2 1 Quote
Shortchaz Posted March 14 Posted March 14 He’s probably getting hit with a dose of reality this offseason. He’s been overpaid most of his career, for one reason or another, and teams are no longer going to give him top dollar. he’s probably going to get 10-15 million per for 1-2 years somewhere. Quote
SoCal Deek Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Everyone can say what they want about separation but my impression (even from his limited contribution) was that when thrown to Amari will catch the ball. 1 1 Quote
ddaryl Posted March 14 Posted March 14 he is still out there and nobody is buzzing about him. He may come back on cheap 1 year deal. 2 Quote
Buffalo4Life01 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 He has most certainly lost a step but you can absolutely do a lot worse at receiver than Amari Cooper. I 100% believe he played through injuries last season that really hampered him and slowed him down. I'd love to see him brought back on a reasonable contract. 1 Quote

He added a talented WR hoping he would help us with the SB. Had we won we would be saying it was the best spent 3rd ever Yeah. He had to do something. Cooper played his role well and Josh won MVP. How could Beane do him dirty like that? The far bigger waste of a WR trade last year was Davante Adams. He cost the Jets a second and they won 3 games after he arrived Quote
Billsfed1 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 That ship has sailed…even at a discount. Had he produced more last year this could’ve been a real possibility. Quote
EasternOHBillsFan Posted March 14 Posted March 14 We took a risk like the Chiefs took on Hopkins and it didn't work out... you will try and do anything to win a chip. We are doing exactly what we need to get there, and Amari simply doesn't fit into our future plans it seems. Quote

Ummm look what Hopkins signed for, Amari isn’t even as good as Hop. If he gets 10-15 it would be a shock. Quote
