Expand Did you fall out of the plane or something? 😱 (We actually went skydiving a few years ago, pretty cool.) I don’t like the experience, especially leaving from the zoo they call the Atlanta airport. Security lines are ridiculous and the plane seats are cramped, but I like to be able to go places so I suck it up. It annoys me much more than concerns me. But there is always a chance something crazy will happen. That’s life. Quote

You're right, it is fast. You suck it up. I found that whenever I got somewhere all I did was worry about the flight back the entire time. Enjoy the destination much more without the worry, even if it limits the destinations. I'm not that hard to please, put a beer or glass of wine in my hand and I'm happy. Would like to see Paris though, maybe when I hit 90 I'll decide there isn't much to lose. Not that far off. 1 Quote

Expand We have a photo in our kitchen of the sunset dinner cruise on the Seine from a couple years ago. If you get to pick one destination, Paris is not a bad option! I want to get more travel in before I get too old to enjoy it, but as long as the wife is still working we’ll have to just pick our spots. Of course, when the money stops coming in that may change my mindset! 1 Quote

I do feel bad for the folks with the yokes who are probably going to be dealing with increasing ATC issues over time. Seems like a job where confidence should be paramount. Quote

Expand I'm always a positive guy, and I think the ATC issue, still very good, is going to get better. Fixing the FAA, which is grossly negligent in the DCA midair, is going to be more difficult, but at least we know and have better people in place. 2 Quote
