Doubtful he makes the team but seems like he can compete for that last roster spot and also provide special teams value. Likely a guy they could keep on PS.

 

his first 2 years were decent:

58 catches 600 yards

63 catches 619 yards

 

then gets traded to the panthers and gets:

27 catches for 272 yards in 13 games

 

then the last 2 years only had 10 catches (on 10 targets) and 5 catches. Did have some return yards those years but just completely fell off.

Was cut so doesn't count against comp picks, seems like a camp body young vet to try and add some competition. Not a major move but not a bad one.

I'm even less optimistic in this case. Claypool at least had a season or two of production. Shenault hasn't done anything. As far as I'm concerned he's competing with Jalen Virgil for a PS spot.

I hated him at the draft. Pounded the table constantly that he was massively overrated. I spent countless hours on my former podcast declaring it haha

Why do most people think we have to add All-Pros with every signing?!?!  We need camp bodies.  Not to mention the cream of the crop of free agents are long gone.  You get what you get at this stage.  Focus on the draft from here on out
