Comp pick dreams are dead this year….Beane has signed too may guys already!

We didn't think we would get anything for Settle or that Hollins would qualify; things can change

You need to have an overall loss of qualifying players though ,,.. they are going to have signed more than they lose this year ….only one they have lost so far is Hollins

You are probably & hopefully right.

Is it the contract they sign or does playing time & production matter? If Hollins, Clapp & Toothill all kill it & make pro bowls (highly unlikely) & our signing are all duds, (hopefully unlikely) would we gain a few picks?

The first factor as to whether they qualify is the money … they need to get around a minimum of  $2.8m a year ( from memory last year )…. Haven’t seen the money yet for Clapp and Toohill but my guess would be that they will be under this figure

Thanks, I wasn't sure about the salary considerations.

I don't think release players count against comp pick formula, and Toohill was released. Might be wrong thought.

Right now I think only Hollins counts as FA lost and Hoecht and Palmer as FA gained.

Douglas, Cooper and Smoot could possibly helps us.

And Ogunjobi …. So three to one so far …

Toohill won’t count anyway as he is a minimum type player ,,,

Could be riding on Smoot

Ogunjobi was also released, so doesn't count.

Ok … I was wrong about that…. Looks like they are still alive then … Cooper and Rasul should qualify at the least ….

I think they should re sign Rasul....or feel free to suggest some names still on the Fa list.

Yeah …they might … I would probably be leaning Dane Jackson though to replace Elam and onto the draft they go to replace Douglas …. A bit risky considering the last big name CB they drafted
