Can he make a few plays down the field? Probably. Keon is better down the field than Samuel and is much slower. It isn’t just speed. Palmer is the guy to do that now. He has been really good down the field. Dont care about Chris Johnson. Samuel is a WR who has speed to stretch the field. Palmer is a guy we need but isnt a field stretcher. We have a speeed guy , we need to use him like he was in Washington 1 Quote

He was once the premier route running guy and the best player against man. Obviously he has slowed down a bunch, but I think he fits. Shakir Palmer Kupp Coleman Samuel Shavers in the Hollins role That’s what I have in my mind. Is there a deep speed guy? Not particularly, but that’s not our offense. It’s about route running and getting open and Kupp is still one of the best imo. Despite being a slot, Shakir is really the number 1 and everyone else falls in line. Also Kupp is not small, he’s 6-2, 205 which would make him the third biggest guy on the roster outside of Coleman and Shavers. I’ll pass on him … not because he isn’t a good player or doesn’t have one more good year left in him …. But I’ll go the field stretching speed guy instead … or another guy in the draft with some upside that can make a difference for the next couple or years … not just 1 like Kupp The problem is that they are married to Samuel one more year … they need more from him next season … lots more Quote

"WR Samuel ran a 4.31-second 40-yard dash at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine, making him the 19th fastest player in the NFL" Google It was the fastest combine 40 time in Ohio State history (since matched) 1 Quote

That’s not his style. Quote

Kupp had like 67 grabs last year and had a huge drop in his last 3-4 games. Basically he was on pace for an 80 catch season. He had health issues towards the end. It's a very small sample size to say he's cooked. Kupp had that one insane year, but he's really a guy who gets 70-80 grabs a year. 1 hour ago, Kirby Jackson said: Chris Johnson was even faster. I love Kupp but he is a slot and Shakir is younger and plays every game.Palmer gives us a vertical threat and a guy who creates separation. He’s relatively cheap and he was the Chargers #2. His contribution with Josh throwing to him will be better than his previous record. Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Google AI: Cooper Kupp played outside on approximately 37.6% of his snaps since 2021, his breakout year, with the remaining snaps being played in the slot (56.7%) or in other positions (5.7%) wait what? You mean we could actually have Shakir and Kupp on the field at the same time?! What a Revelation 😂 Edited 11 hours ago by Warriorspikes51 3 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I could see the Chiefs on this one. Seems like someone the Chargers would sniff on too 1 Quote
NoSaint Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Would just be tough to add a 5th guy at this pay range Quote

Jimmy Harris 69 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago My bet is Seattle or San Diego or KC. His family is from the state of Washington. He is a good run game blocker, important to those teams. He’s a shadow of his greatness but high character. I think the market will be soft for him like other older vet WRs. D-hop got a one year deal, he will likely get the same. 1 Quote
