He was once the premier route running guy and the best player against man. Obviously he has slowed down a bunch, but I think he fits. Shakir Palmer Kupp Coleman Samuel Shavers in the Hollins role That’s what I have in my mind. Is there a deep speed guy? Not particularly, but that’s not our offense. It’s about route running and getting open and Kupp is still one of the best imo. Despite being a slot, Shakir is really the number 1 and everyone else falls in line. Also Kupp is not small, he’s 6-2, 205 which would make him the third biggest guy on the roster outside of Coleman and Shavers. Samuel is the speed guy, they should use him as such instead of gadget guy 1 Quote

sven233 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Unfortunately, this has KC written all over it. He'd excel there. Not sure of the fit here. He can play outside, but is better suited for the slot. With Shakir and Kincaid here (and Coleman who should see more snaps inside), the fit really isn't right. Wouldn't be mad at it for the right money as he could be a stop gap on the outside, but it's not something at this point I see us doing. We need an outside speedster with some explosiveness. It's still the one thing missing from this WR room and it is a glaring need. 1 Quote

Now he’s Cole Beasley in his final seasons with the Bills. Shakir is our best receiver and Josh’s go to clutch 1st down machine. 1 Quote

He’s Deebo-like. He isn’t as physical and is faster. Samuel isn’t going to be the field stretcher. Quote

Kupp had like 67 grabs last year and had a huge drop in his last 3-4 games. Basically he was on pace for an 80 catch season. He had health issues towards the end. It's a very small sample size to say he's cooked. Kupp had that one insane year, but he's really a guy who gets 70-80 grabs a year. Quote

Here are guys they may be targeting with 40 time and projected round, a lot of speed but a lot of these guys have little production in college. Bolded is whom I'd target Matthew Golden (WR) - 4.29 seconds 1ST Dont'e Thornton Jr. (WR) - 4.30 seconds 6TH Chimer ***** (WR) 4.34 NR Jaylin Lane (WR) 4.34 7TH Arian Smith (WR) 4.36 7TH Tai Felton (WR) 4.37 4TH Keandre Lambert-Smith (WR) 4.37 7TH Jordan Watkins (WR) 4.37 NR Isaiah Bond (WR) 4.39 2ND Quote

There’s nuance to it. Can he make a few plays down the field? Probably. Keon is better down the field than Samuel and is much slower. It isn’t just speed. Palmer is the guy to do that now. He has been really good down the field. Quote
