I want him.  I didn’t want to give up anything for him but I absolutely think he fits into the way we play offense. He can slot in to any part of the field and do anything we ask. He’s not what he was but he’s still a very solid WR

Yeah reports are that they really wanted Chris Godwin there as a steady, reliable slot option for Drake Maye. They supposedly offered big money, too.

Now that they struck out on Godwin, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Kupp become a Patriot.

Also...very good white slot receivers just...kind of seem like New England Patriots by default.

So now we're negating our best WR, that we just handed a big long term extension to, and wanting him on the field less, bc you want another famous name?
