Some thoughts from this scouting profile:  https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Darrick-Forrest-S-Cincinnati

Seems to have played FS in 2022 with WAS but draft profile reads as if best suited for Taron Johnson or Cam Lewis type role.

If Bills go with Bishop and Rapp maybe this is the new Nickel S (formerly Lewis) or they drop one of Rapp/Bishop down and let Forrest play deep S.

The hype for that man was absolutely electric. I'm not even ashamed to admit I was totally gaslighted into thinking we had gotten a #1 WR as an undrafted FA.

Wait, are you giving up already?

Give that young man some time!

This signing is giving me Jordan Poyer vibes...

A guy many haven't even necessarily heard of, but who has great athleticism and has flashed playmaking ability. He signs and everyone says "looks like a depth and special teams guy", and then he comes out of nowhere and wins a starting spot.

I'm not saying he'll be as good as Poyer. I'm just saying...before you say "depth only"...give the guy a chance. If there's one area where I'll happily defer to McDermott and co, its the safety position.

In any case, Bishop, Rapp, Forest, and Hamlin are likely your four safeties. Drafting one now seems unlikely.

Exactly.  Many on here were whining and bashing the Hyde and Poyer signings at the time.  This kid might end up being something.

Seems like a straight role player and special teamer.  He is yet another guy that has been signed that has an injury history.  It seems washington was going to cut him out of camp last year but because he had a hamstring injury he hung on.

Looks Lewis Cine is back.

i really had some hopes for him to become a hybrid player to take the spot of the Jordan Poyer big safety.

In that case, everybody has an injury history.

The guy played 50 games in college and his only real injury was the cracked shoulder two years ago.

Tweaking a hammy in camp then coming back to play 12 straight games isn't really enough to label him with an "injury history".

I unfortunately agree that priority to draft a safety is lower, mostly because safety in a role that I think is critically undervalued and can be acquired with impact in late 1st - 2nd round.

But I like what I've seen in brief clips
