OP without nuance will invite the binary brigade to crusade for their integer, especially when declaring triumphantly that Beane's offseason is already a 1 out of 1. Team 0 can't abide. I would give it a 1.... Quote

But I’m the one who is cherry picking and using a small sample? 😂 The problem is the backups in 2018 (Anderson, Barkley, Peterman) were way worse than Tyrod Taylor when Allen got hurt. A combined 1-5. Both are too small of a sample size. This is pry a lazy comparison but without Allen I could see McDermott being very close to what the Steelers have done since 2017. Just stuck in mediocrity with below average to mediocre QB's. 1 Quote

To completely retain AND rebuild the team in 1 offseason almost seems impossible but somehow or another he’s managed. If this isn’t A+ for a manager…I don’t know what is. Well in terms of reactions, you have: 15 - Disagree 4 - Agree 8 - Laughing at you 1 - Crying... whatever that means. So your final sentence implies that yes, you don't know what an A+ for a manager is, as I would think an A+ manager would have widespread praise, or at least mostly people agreeing he's great. Quote

And most of these reactions came well before the news of the suspensions. I still believe the vast majority of the moves made are cap friendly/good players. All we can do to see if I’m right in my assessment is wait for the season to play out. A Superbowl appearance IMO would validate my suggestion of the A+ grade. Time will tell. Quote

It is what it is. I still think we'll win a couple super bowls eventually. McDermott has made me doubt that but I have to hope it will happen. It's part of not being to cynical as a fan. We got a helluva chance with Allen Obviously it's not an excuse but there are so many incompetent teams around the league, I still think it's important to try and enjoy this Allen era and not get so caught up in the ultimate outcome I think it's worse than that though because we let Mahomes consistently do to us what he really isn't consistently doing to everyone else. We're actually one of the very few teams the last couple of years to continually put up some good points on their top defense and their mediocre offense has not been running roughshod on everyone else the way they do on us. I don't think we've ever seen anything like this in NFL history where an elite QB has played elite football in the playoffs to the tune of something like 33 TD's and 4 INT's and has somehow only come out 7-5 with no SB appearances. I agree ultimately that we should still find enjoyment in our regular season success but it's hard to stomach that we've flushed basically the entire 20's of the best player we've ever had who has played tremendously overall in the playoffs and we've come away with no playoff success.
