Billsfed1 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Considering the Bills were like 15 mil over the cap a couple weeks ago despite the cap increase, it’s nothing short of incredible what he’s pulled off here. To completely retain AND rebuild the team in 1 offseason almost seems impossible but somehow or another he’s managed. If this isn’t A+ for a manager…I don’t know what is. Gregg Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Let's see how this plays out starting in Sept thru January and hopefully February. Quote

He needs to hit on this draft before any MVP's are handed out 3 1 2 Quote
DallasBillsFan1 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Beane needs to NAIL this draft. Recent top picks have been marginal at best (Elam, Kincaid, Coleman) ... maybe a little early, but. Would like us to have a SOLID draft. 1 Quote
KentuckyBillsFan Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Yeah can we pump the brakes? This team is still lacking a truly elite player outside of Josh Allen and this is a critically important draft. 1 1 1 Quote
Iraq Vet Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago This is what happens when you clean out older expensive players last year... and keeping you eye on the future. You can make a few nice movies. Guess what? in 2 years BB is going to have to cleanout older players again. He learned how to cycle the cap. Next year Matt Milano is going to be cut. Ed Oliver will be cut in 2 years... releasing players with still just a good year or two left in them is ok. Don't wait until they are too old. Mitch Moorse... retired this off season... but was released last year... this is perfect example. 1 1 Quote

I remember how everyone hated the 2022 draft. Even with the Elam miss that draft is solid. More than solid. 1 Quote
Luka Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) This draft is going to make or break Beane this year. He really needs to identify an elite player at a position of need. Corner, edge, DT or wide receiver. He's been whiffing big time. Hopefully Bishop plays better this season because it looks like Beane is standing firm at safety after re-signing Hamlin this morning. Not sure if it's our scouting department or what. Great in the late rounds but can't seem to get the big one in the first, aside from Josh of course. Edited 5 hours ago by Luka 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Jim Overdorff likely deserves some credit here. By my understanding, he's the one that handles contracts and salary cap. In any event the Bills have done just what teams do around the NFL every year that are over the cap. They make moves, get under and sign players. New Orleans started somewhere around $50M over and are still signing guys 2 Quote

uticaclub Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) He is currently doing his job; the quality of his work will be assessed next February. He still has a draft to finalize. The issues we encountered with the cap were due to the contracts he issued. Edited 5 hours ago by uticaclub 1 Quote
DJB Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Yesterday we all hated him but now he’s the MVP!!! This is Bills mafia carrying Beane today after we buried him yesterday Edited 5 hours ago by DJB 1 Quote

Fleezoid Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago This is all fine, dandy and encouraging until another rule change is implemented after the Bills get hosed again in the playoffs. Quote

Jets fans I know think this is the beginning of another rebuild. Even the NY media isn't hyping them up like they were the past couple of years. Quote

Not only that, his one miss in the first round is Elam. If you call Kincaid a miss after his second year, I can’t process that bad logic. 1 1 Quote
