Hamlin back on one-year deal

Meh. I don’t hate this as we need bodies in the secondary but we should 100% be looking for an upgrade in the draft.

I’d imagine it’s backup money, but I love him as the third safety. Who knows, maybe he earns another starting job.

he's not as bad as people say but we could certainly get better at the position. He does not make mistakes. He is a micah Hyde light.

I love having him on the team and he belongs here emotionally but I don’t want him starting. You want to use him on STs and backing up a more athletic guy..love it

I'm actually shocked the Steelers didn't grab him for depth. Great PR move, local kid and knows Tomlin well.

 

I'm ok bringing him back and hopefully it's as depth. But he does have a lot of experience for a guy his age and doesn't prevent the Bills from still going safety at some point in the first two days of the draft if the value is there.

They will certainly upgrade at safety beyond him.  If he sticks with good competition at the position, good for him. I just don’t expect it to be as a starter.

Love Hamlin, but sincerely hope he isn't our starter this season.

 

Hamlin is quality backup, Rapp is a borderline starter.  Still think we need to grab another FA to compete, and hope Bishop steps up.

His game took a fairly impressive leap forward this year.

He's a weak spot as a starter but I'm very happy the Bills kept him around as quality depth.

I like that it's only a one year deal, because that shows that the FO is about as high on him as we are.
