Anyway, I get what you are saying and respect it, just sharing my thoughts on the guy. It's my gut. I may be wrong though, and hope I am! You could very well be correct. I've often said particularly about QB's you could predict every single one of them would be a bust including Josh Allen and Tom Brady and you'd be correct more than you'd be wrong. as the success rate is not that high. But also see too often posters here giving up on players way too soon. Or there where things going on b4ehind the scenes. Like this year with Kincaid, posters were labeling him a bust, then hear after the season he was playing on a partial torn PCL 1 Quote

hondo in seattle Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago FWIW... Ogunjobi received an overall PFF grade of 49.4 for the 2024 regular season, which was the lowest grade of his NFL career. He was ranked 150th out of 219 defensive interior players. Quote
HopelessNJBuffaloFan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago He is a big boy!!! Will help with the run defense!! Quote

He is always going to be a rotational rusher and get us around 5 sacks. Need guys like that. Yes, plus it helps cap to get younger players into the rotation that are on rookie deals. 1 Quote

Lots of those guys on team 🤣 PFF ranked Hamlin 85th among safety regulars in 2024. Hamlin's coverage grade of 59.8 ranks him 82nd out of 86 safeties, reflecting struggles in pass defense. Add ‘em to the pile. 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I am sure it has been said in this thread already but I take this signing as the replacement to Smoot. Like Smoot he can play inside and outside. He will play some 5 tech I imagine at end like smoot did. He seems best suited to an attacking 3 tech spot though. They now have 3 guys to play that spot. They must want a full rotation of guys who can play this penetrating style or Carter is going to move over and play some 1 tech. Always good to be deep on the defensive line. Tackle has a chance to be a really good group by the time the draft is over. Quote

I hope Collins is there. Could it be rotation based on who we are playing? Run heavy is a different look than a passing team? Yea I talked about Biggers as an option the other day too. As for worries about size... honestly, everything the Bills have done since they cut Star tells me they are not after a big tub of lard type run stuffer. Quote

It's not an exact comparison for the reasons you stated, but I was responding to the idea that these are just what small deals look like under the modern salary cap era. That's not the case when these three middle class type contracts total one star contract. The question becomes whether you want three middle class players or one star WR and a couple of rookies rotating at DL and DT. Beane has almost always opted for the latter. Quote

As I said above... I don't think the Bills want a big fat guy at 1T. That is not the type they have gone for at any stage since they binned Star. They have always gone for 1Ts who can anchor and play run but will also get upfield and penetrate. Quote
Mat68 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I was surprised by the Steelers signing. More 4-3 DT than 3-4 lineman. I always liked him. I think he is best as disruptor instead of a two gap defender. I think if needed could play 1T. Has some pass rush ability to. Tables the need to go DT at 30. I still would want them to if Grant or Harmon are available. Plus move imo. 1 Quote
