Yea I agree this doesn’t change anything draft wise. It’s funny right here you quoted I said the same thing about Carter going to the 1T instead of the 3 for the same reasons. I think Beane saw the dominance of Philly and is like okay we’re just going to go with that model

We're seeing things alike up front 😁.

Daquon is the big ? now...we can get some savings from letting him go, then grab a very good player early in draft to replace his snaps.

FA playing out like I thought yesterday am, grab a couple DL on 1 year deals....I'd be surprised if we make any more moves up front (other than releasing Daquon).

DT:

Oliver

Larry

Carter

1st or 2nd rounder

De:

Groot

Aje

Bosa

Hoecht(de/dt hyrbid)

Draft pick

Solomon

CB, 1 tech, S are my biggest NEEDS right now.

Great post.  Nothing changes, DT, DE, CB are all the priority at the draft.

Why not bring in a true 1-technique

How many 320lb + guys are put there right now?  I honestly don't know.

I'm seeing a lot of this online on X from different analysts and Steelers media people that

It appears that he wasn't a great fit in a 3 - 4 and that in a 4 - 3 you could reasonably expect him to get back closer to form.   I also keep seeing from them that he has a lot of "juice" to his game.    High character guy with Juice with a history of good production in a 4 - 3 alignment.   It's another 1 year deal, I like it.

I still fully expect the bills to draft a DT and DE with one of their first 3 premium picks if the right opportunity presents itself.

Interesting that they've added 3 d lineman ahead of a deep D line draft.

Should give strong consideration to cutting both DJ and AJ IMO.

I think they try to move AJE.  A 6 sack a year guy does have trade value to teams with pass rushing needs.  You could get a 5th for him I would think.

Correct along with S if someone falls. But no doubt those are the top three priorities unless Beane makes a major trade. I think they realize they have plenty of draft capital to go get the guys they covet. With the way the roster is built, I wouldn’t be surprised if they trade away picks in 2026 to move up if needed.

You don't sign Bosa to trade Epenesa. You need someone to play the 7 or 8 games Bosa will miss.

Easy to disappear when you are taking on multiple blockers. Pressure up the middle would be great if he helps us get it.

for what it’s worth, my Steeler fan friend said “great get with Ogunjobi! He can still play at a high level. Was a cost savings cut unfortunately”.

Ya he did say he would help the run defence.

This one is perplexing for $8M.   That's a REALLY nice contract for a guy who needs to re-hab his image as a player.

I was expecting a trade for Dalvin Tomlinson to be their DT move.   They need a 1 tech and if he gets released he will probably cost more than his $3M base salary with the Browns.   I presume the Browns floated out his release to stir up trade interest.

Wearing that #99, he looks exactly what Levon Kirkland would have looked like if they'd dropped him down to DT.

I can’t see them not drafting one.

Why not?  Universal analytical review has this the best draft for 330 pound DTs in recent history

Yeah, that was the one thing that sort of wrinkled an eyebrow here.

I'm guessing he was scheduled to make less money than that when he was released for cap reasons.
