BADOLBILZ Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) 20 minutes ago, Logic said: Yeah I think the biggest argument FOR the move is that it's a one-year deal which is significantly below market for a very good edge rusher. Now obviously he has to stay healthy and prove that he still IS a very good edge rusher, but... A one year deal for the amount of money he's making is what I'd classify as a low risk, high reward deal. He continues to be injured and doesn't contribute much? Oh well, you still have the baseline of Rousseau, Epenesa, Hoecht, and Soloman, and you move on next year with no long term cap implcaitons. But if he actually stays healthy and proves that he's still JOEY BOSA?! Then you just got in insane deal on a one year mercenary, and a head start on potentially re-signing him if that's a thing both sides want. Low risk. High reward. Hard to hate on it. There are cap ramifications in subsequent years for all of these 1 year deals. Because unused cap space can be rolled over. If you don't spend it in 2025 you THEN have it to spend in 2026. So these signings DO impact future spending capability. Even if Beane isn't tacking on void years to these deals to fit them under the cap now(which he might be). The talk about there NOT being any impact on future cap situations reminds me of when Beane spent over $100M on trash in UFA in his first offseason. That spree is why the Bills couldn't get thru JA's first contract without being cap stressed. Edited 5 hours ago by BADOLBILZ Quote
ColoradoBills Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Welcome to Buffalo Joey! Stay warm on the sidelines and take it easy training. We need you to stay healthy to get the Lombardi we all want! You don't need ALL the sacks. Push the QBs toward Groot and you will be worth your money. Quote
Maine-iac Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Let's just peek at his last game probably what, 2 months ago? Bosa in the playoffs with 2 tackles, a sack, and 3 QB pressures. Guess he's got nothing left. 4 1 Quote

If he does get 10 sacks, you get a pitbull. Injuries nullify the bet. 1 3 Quote

I personally would've pursued Floyd. He was very good for the Bills, should not have let him go to begin with. Once the big names came off the board this is all you are left with. A big name with a big question mark about his availability. And unconfirmed rumor or not, wouldn't the fact that he backed out at the last minute and signed with the Bills signal that the rumor is more factual? Certainly no sunshine and palms trees here, just a lot more green. From what I've heard he fell off a cliff at the end of the season. Plus, he was the one on ST that drew the penalty against Denver that cost Buffalo that game. Reasons... Quote

Even when she bit the top of my head like it was an apple. Her razor sharp teeth were so effin’ cute!!! That felt nearly as good as when she playfully tried to gnaw on my arm. Adorable. Quote

I mean he is kind of a doofus and the "I'm rich" stuff is pretty cringe. But we just need them to get to the QB in January for 1 year. I don't like that we're depending so heavily on that...but that's where we are. Quote

I don't know...I kinda think the dude behind the camera is the cringy one. Dude was at the game as a fan, not a player. What other time in your life would you ever walk up to another guy who is twice your size and could murder you and taunt him about his job? Why people think that is ok is beyond me. Then they go on podcasts and talk more crap about the guy. Theyre all losers who should get their butts kicked, IMO. 1 1 Quote

I'm not defending fans like that, I agree the guy behind the camera is a total loser. The cringe part to me was the "I'm rich" stuff, not necessarily that he even responded. Quote

If we get a full year of peak Joey Bosa and have right of refusal? *Then* throw a deal like we gave Von. Did we draft a DE who is also good? Oh no, that only means we have one of the best DE groups in the league. Now, my prediction is that we get roughly equivalent production to 2024 Von and he prices himself out but once again, it's hard to be mad about that 1 Quote
