I didn’t say I didn’t like it, just that I am not expecting much. In fact I am glad Beane is swinging

When a poster named EmotionallyUnstsble posts immediately after a new player is signed with negative comments and perceived gloom, it’s a good thing.. right??😳

anyway, Welcome to Buffalo, Joey!

Buffalo checked a box on their biggest need in a big time pass rusher! Brandon Beane pointed his bat to the upper stands and took a Babe Ruth type swing...we will see.

All the whiners out there gotta remember that Kahlil Mack got 18 million guaranteed. Mack stated that he was considering retirement and you know what they say about an NFL player "thinking" about retirement.

The biggest reason as to why the Chargers outright cut Bosa was to free up 25.26 cap space. Then the Chargers thought they had a shot at Leonard Floyd. Bosa has said in the past that he would like to retire as a Charger...probably thought the outright cut was a slap in the face.

Isn’t this guy always injured?

Yes.  He’s only played I think 16 of the last 48 games.  I know it’s worth a try, but it’s a Hail Mary.

I need to amend my statement and didn’t want to erase the original as am always happy to state when I was slightly wrong.  It was 28 of 51.

So sorry I made the error.

A quote from Matthew Bové on 'Its Always Gameday in Buffalo' really summed it up nicely:

"Beane is swinging for the fence. One of two things can happen, he can hit a home run or he can strike out swinging. But I like that he's taking the swing."

what if he swings for the fence and hits a triple off the wall?

He did play 14 games last season.  Hopefully he stays healthy.

Yep, 31 of 51 games and shined when he played! I’ll take it. It’s better than Milano.. 🤷‍♂️

Dude will definitely be on a pitch count during the season, like Von has been the past two years. Truly we probably don't need him to be great during the regular season, but a few dominant games in the playoffs will make this a great contract.

So that answers that. "Can't handle the cold"? 3m more than San Fran and 4.6m more than Miami makes up for that, apparently.

What about cold? People act like he didn’t willingly move to Columbus for 3 years from Fort Lauderdale. He didn’t choose to be drafted to the chargers. Sure anyone loves great weather but clearly isn’t a decision maker on where he plays. He took the most money from the best team who offered, makes sense.

I’m interested to see if Asante Samuel signs here too. He, Bosa and Palmer are all st Thomas Aquinas alums. I’m not advocating for him bc he’s injury prone too but better than Elam and can play man.

I was referring to this video where he specifically says "I can't handle the cold up there" to a Bills fan saying he should come to Buffalo...

After thinking about this signing a bit.

I don't mind it at all. I don't like Bosa as a person (from what I've seen) at all. Just not my cup of tea. But as a player, he can still be a force and I'm looking forward to seeing him in game action with the Bills.

I'm mentally prepared to see his name on the injury list most of the season. I accept that he will miss a few games most likely. As long as those aren't in the playoffs, I'm good with it. If he can be available, reasonably healthy and have a nice post season for the Bills, then I'll like the signing. If he misses a few games in the middle of the year, so be it.

I do wish they would have been able to get him on a lower value contract or had a team option for year two, but what's done is done, it's not my cash and it's up to them to work it into the books and still bring in some good players.

Rousseau hits a pop sacrifice fly and picks up a Ribby?

Im pretty sure that Buffalo has tried all avenues. I’m sure they called Garrett and got rebuffed , there was a report they called on Crosby, if those are to be believed, you have to believe they called on Hendrickson. This is honestly probably option D

I agree with that.  I'm not mad at Beane because I'm sure he tried going after the other guys but this move just doesn't excite me all that much.  I hope I'm wrong bu I was also skeptical of the Von signing and we see what happened

Your analogy is a little off. He’s not the number one pick Joey bosa. He’s more the end of the career Von miller now. Swinging for the fences is securing garret Crosby or Hendrickson - and paying dearly for it

Beane may as well complete the Chargers triple play 😎
