Load up any playmakers you can find on defense. Enough of this bull####. Make the other team punt Loaded dline makes the linebackers better. loaded dline and better linebackers makes better defensive backs. It all adds up to a great offense and a defense that needs to be reckoned with. Quote
Scott7975 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 1 year deal. Worth the risk. Lets hope he stays healthy and helps get us where we want to go. Quote

Can’t be afraid of injuries. It’s a violent game it can happen to anyone anytime. I like the move It can happen to anyone anytime, but it tends to be more likely to happen to 30+ year old players. Joe Marino Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Love the big swing. And ya, I hated the VM big swing - at the time. You can tilt a Super Bowl game with J Bosa --- Leonard Floyd, not as much. Edited 9 hours ago by Joe Marino Quote

We have the draft capital to trade & we can afford the extension. Buying a Walmart discount for a broken down player won't get it done. Tune to spend more at Tiffany's for a difference maker. I worry that bc of what happened w/ Von, Beane's afraid to make that kind of investment. But being timid won't get us a Lombardi. He needs to be bold. Josh is in his prime & times ticking. Hopefully Bosa outperforms my expectations. There's zero indication that Hendrickson would be available to the Bills. You sound like we are actively refusing a deal that isn't there. 1 1 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Calais Campbell + Monster DT in draft please? 1 Quote
Doc Brown Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I'd just keep him in a plastic bubble until the playoffs. Quote
biggerdaddynj Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I step away to take a break and lo and behold Mr. Brandon Beane has taken a nice swing in free agency that I never expected! It’s a considerable gamble for sure but I think it’s one we can afford to take, there are very slim pickings available for teams in need of a “closer”. It’s not Garrett or Crosby and Cincy won’t trade Hendrickson to us, so it’s either this or overpay a younger guy you hope has legit upside to a 3-4 year deal (I assume they think Bosa will contribute more than Miller would have in a team friendly deal). At least it’s a potential shot at a game changer as opposed to a deal for a JAG. A little excitement. This is one and done. And, I’m sure Beane will keep his eyes open. The draft will weigh heavily on how our DL does this year. Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This isn’t getting universal praise? Lol Quote

JohnNord Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago So many fans are whining about this deal. I love it. You want Beane to take chances and when they do, you complain. Come on man 6 2 Quote

I think Beane’s had enough of teams gashing us like they did late last year. I don’t think this was a move made to shore up the run D. He’s in OP to pass rush. 2 Quote
jlgarsh Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Bring Von back for the vet minimum and you can rotate Bosa, Groot, Von, Epenesa. Keep them all healthy hopefully too by limiting snap counts. 2 Quote

You sound like we are actively refusing a deal that isn't there. There's a lot of teams with heavy Defensive End needs just signing people. Us included. Which says to me that either a.) Bengals are turning away phone calls or b.) The price tag is so high from the Bengals teams aren't interested. I'm guessing the former. They've got a ton of money. Mostly from not paying anyone. So if they wanted to pay Hendrickson, Higgins, and Chase - they probably could. And it's likely that even if they feel they could only do two, they'd probably do Hendrickson before Higgins. Richard Noggin Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 41 minutes ago, BillsFan130 said: True- But where does he fit in? I can't see the bills dressing 6 DEs on game day very often. (If at all) I would bet he's DE6 who makes the team, but is inactive on game days unless someone gets hurt Solomon experienced some rookie growing pains (not uncommon for McD's defensive rookies) and had a rough 2nd third of the season stretch of low snap counts plus a game where he didn't dress, but saw a lot of work the last two weeks of season. He wasn't inactive for any of the playoff games, that I could find, but I'm also not finding ANY stats for him those 3 games on PFR. I think he's got potential to at least be a DPR who flashes this season, and possibly a more balanced #3 or #4 EDGE guy longer term. Loved the pick. I don't think Epenesa offers more on obvious passing downs at this point. Hoecht I have no idea tbh. Rousseau should reduce inside on some passing downs with Solomon one of the guys subbing in. 1 Quote
