I don't love it. But a 1 year deal minimizes the risk. So it's fine.

I guess we are all set at DE then? We've got 5 guys. Probably would have preferred draft a guy in rounds 1 or 2 over paying Bosa who can't stay healthy.

Do we gain any cap space if we cut AJ?

I hear you- I just don't see where he fits in. As I can't see them rostering 6 DEs. (Assuming they draft a guy relatively high)

But if they classify Hoecht as a DT, then that changes the numbers at DE which would help Solomon

Ya good call on AJ- Didn't really even think about that, but could be an option.

Good chance we carry 10-11 DL like last year.  Smoot was the Swiss army, Hoecht is an upgrade at that role.

Solomon is back roster depth, we need a 4th impact pass rusher.  I don't think Aje is getting moved, but could easily see Daquon being cut.

Still plenty of 1 tech rotational players out there, unless they are comfortable with keeping Jones.  Going to be several very good DT prospects around our 1st pick, or we can wait and get a rotational piece in Rd 2.

I'm torn on DL vs CB in round 1, will have to see how rest of FA shakes out.

Beane deserves a lot of credit for pulling this off.  Bosa is an impact player.  I’d love to know how we got him over the Niners and Dolphins

I have a feeling this will not go well. Can’t fault Beane for trying.

Personally, I think you really can fault him for trying. He's supposed to do more than try. He's supposed to try intelligently.

I don't like this. It could be good, and I'm praying that I'm wrong. That much time injured, and we spend $12M? Too much for me.

I haven't seen the doctor's reports, and presumably the Bills have. So, maybe he'll be terrific. Jeez, I hope so.

But I hear people saying they don't lose anything if it doesn't work out, and to say that you have to think that $12M is nothing. And to me, it's a lot. It's good that it's a one-year deal, that does lower the risk, but $12M is not nothing. It's $12M you can't spend on someone else.

I think it’s Epenesa who is gonna be going if they add another DE in the draft which I would classify as highly likely

Why cut him with Bosa being an injury risk?

We need to go DT, or CB.  I would like to move up in both the 1st and 2nd rounds.

A Big, powerful 1 tech at DT and a CB are our top priorities now imo.

I’m going to respectfully disagree.  With Hoecht, Bosa, and Palmer, Beane can actually focus on taking the best player available.  DT and Edge are deep in this draft and the Bills can afford to wait in the first two rounds and see who comes to them.  Don’t forget they have Solomon and Carter who they like as well.

CB is the one position they may have to risk moving up as they are limited supply in this draft.  I really want Hairston from UK.

Zero risk here. Basically replacing Von. I do like that he chose to be here over playing with his brother. Perhaps he wants to win. McDermott rotation will help him.

Good point on the rotation part

Sometimes, players are injury prone until they're not.  There is such a thing as bad luck, too.

It's a gamble, but if he can stay healthy and recapture even some of his old form, he can be a terror.  I like it.  It was pretty slim pickins out there anyway.

Looking at this film, we have not had a guy who can wreck a line like this since Bruce. Impose his will. He’s not Bruce, but looks petty good here. Will need to look at more game film.

Defense needs to allow him to be him.

Love the signing. Love BBB after dark!

He can't stay on the field, my guy

Can't make plays if you're not getting on the field

We’ll see what happens. I’m certainly not going to make the assumption right now. It’s a 1 year deal. Can’t be afraid of injuries. It’s a violent game it can happen to anyone anytime. I like the move

I like the signing of Hoeght and Bosa. High motor guys with nasty attitudes. We need more

of that on this defense. More nasty guys. We are too nice.

Now we draft a tackle.

Played in 14 games last year , only started 9 but why choose to be pessimistic? Anything can happen.

No he's a RDE

Ok, I just recall seeing him lined up a lot on the left side…

Bills: hey Josh, here's 330m and 250 guaranteed.

Josh: great. So my lower cap hit means we can get an elite WR?

Bills: we are going to wait and see

Josh: oh so then we are going to get defensive players so I don't have to score 40+ points to win?

Bills: just keep putting up 30 PPG.
