Underrated part of his game is how good he is against the run.

Rousseau/Soloman/Draft

Oliver/Carter

Jones/Draft

Bosa/AJE

This Defense can become elite real quick if we hit in the draft.

I still think the Bills are going to sign a vet corner and add depth at safety while also drafting two D-line early. Would also like to see the Bills sign a 1-Tech DT but coming together more clearly.

Get ready he talks like spicoli from fast times at Ridgmont High and his grandfather was in the Chicago mafia

And his cousin is Jake Kumerow if that means anything to anybody.

So we go into the draft having bolstered our DL, DE, and WR while needing DL, DE, and WR. Outstanding.

We still need DB help. I don't know who our starting FS is. Can Bishop move from SS to FS? Who starts opposite of Benford?

Our list of obvious holes grows smaller and smaller. We're very clearly a SB contender at this stage.

Good points.  Beane always plugs every position of need with a body before the draft.  Some better than others, but i like that philosophy.

We need to get lucky and land a stud somewhere in our picks.

I love the signing.  It’s a risk if he doesn’t stay healthy, but on a one year deal it’s not much of a risk. It buys time to develop someone behind him like Solomon or a draft pick.  It also gives Beane the freedom to re-sign him if things work out.

Now go get a CB.

Can I just float one thing out there?

What if Bosa stays healthy?

The idea of a healthy Joey Bosa on one side and Rousseau on the other -- which, mind you, should also free up Oliver and whatever DT they draft high to make plays -- I mean...

That's pretty ***** enticing, no?

Yes.

He's been my top Bills target since the season ended.

Same since he was cut

Let's see the guaranteed money.  That'll tell us if they expect him to make it out of camp.

That’s what I want to see. How much is base vs bonuses.

What's not to like? Sure, he has a long injury history. If he didn't, he'd be worth 3X as much.

Right, he also has history of being dominant and Bosa will be highly motivated knowing he'll get 1 more monster deal if he goes crazy this year

He was top 10 in total snaps for DEs in 17, 19 and 21. Lots of those games he was dying for air at the end because of the Charger's awful use of him. He always pursued even when winded. With contemporary rehab and the limits we should be able to provide him on his 2025 snaps counts we may be able to make our own luck with him and have him just hitting his stride in November. The draft should give us some younger horses to take up some slack while he gets in condition. Having watched a lot of Charger games over his career it's fair to presume his being gassed by being overplayed left him vulnerable to more injuries. He has every reason to come pick up 10 sacks in a D that is very likely to keep him fresh this season.

Great post.

realistically there’s enough guaranteed he will be on the roster. And most of the 12 is probably real.

he’s a 5 time pro bowler at a premium position. While damaged he’s not a fringe player at this point
