Remembering how Mahomes played catch as our corners played 8 yards off the ball in the playoffs likely points to a rookie draft pick unless a good man to man veteran comes available.

Isn’t the sample size of recent early round corners just one guy? Haha tough to draw conclusions from that

Witherspoon seems like a good vet 1 year signing.  He shouldn't be expensive, he will understand playing off the bench and hey he played in LA.

Witherspoon rejoined the Rams in the late summer after injuries decimated the position and then eventually worked back into a starting role when Tre’Davious White was traded to Baltimore. Especially across the second half of the season, Witherspoon thrived alongside fellow veteran Darious Williams, with seven pass breakups and an interception plus a forced fumble and a sack in the Rams’ final six games (including playoffs). Witherspoon will turn 30 this spring but has not seemed to feel his age just yet.

I don’t even have an issue with us doing it I just fully expect we will. What frustrates me is this coach will absolutely doghouse guys and I don’t want the pick wasted. If we take a CB early he needs to play.

I remember watching a few games last year thinking “Man Stephone Gilmore is still around”, as I continued to watch him he was playing very well. I went on a few sites to check if it was just those 2 games but he’s still a solid all around corner. I figure if Douglas can play at a high level I don’t see why Gilmore can’t.

No mention of Daequan Hardy? Was one of our standouts in pre-season last year. Former 6th round pick, like Benford. Maybe I’m missing something, but given the current situation, I am a little surprised he isn’t getting any consideration to at least compete for the CB2 job.
